I bought Fire Emblem from my friend for 2 bucks, as he had to buy lunch.
I found an R4 on a bench in the park. I was all :smug: the rest of the day.
I found a Jampack demo disk for the PS1 in a toilet at school a long time ago, I think it fell out of someones coat pocket or something. I took it out (sick) and it worked fine, it had some demos like Bloody Roar demo, Gex: Enter the Gecko demo and some other things I can't remember.
A British guy I had talked to ONCE on CS:S bought my Garry's Mod out of the blue about a years ago. Now he's one of my best internet friends and it is awesome. Mother of god I have a demo disc with that on it, let me find it right now and play it on an emulator
found pokemon silver on my bus [editline]09:29PM[/editline]
I found Final Fantasy Tactics: Advance in my local swimming pool parking lot. I spent ungodly amounts of time on that game. Seriously, I played it so much that when I turned it off, I could still hear the music. :ghost: That can't be healthy.
i clocked a combined total of over 400 hours across two files.
I just activated gunman chronicles key and got half-life platinum.
I went to gamestop to get BC2 and grabbed the standard one, yet since no one fucking plays the PS3, I got a free limited edition one because they didn't sell all of them. Thank god for having the PS3.
Some guy I barely knew bought me L4D for my birthday. Then we became best friends.
I found Far Cry laying on the bar in my old house. Asked my dad if I could see just what it was, he said yes, end story.
I found a CSI xbox game under a pile of dirt in my back yard.
I was at wholesale club (grocery store) and I found a bin with cheap video games. I found HL1 Anthology for 99c and GTA:SA for 99c. I put the HL1 Anthology on my steam account and gave GTA:SA to my friend because it was for PS2.
What the fuck? I paid 50 dollars for GTA:SA 3 months ago :colbert:
Well a few days ago, I was just sitting on my computer, when steam popped up and said that I had been gifted DoD: Source. I was quite perplexed, and I read the message and it said "I promised you a while ago that I'd gift you this, so here you go" - Jobby. This left me even more confused because I had never asked anyone for DoD: Source, so I messaged Jobby on steam, telling him that I never asked for it, and he goes, "Aren't you freakyme?" and I go, "uh no." It took him a minute to reply, then he goes, "Hahaha, well congratulations, I guess you get it now." And that is the story of how I obtained Day of Defeat Source.
Forgot the game but I smashed my keyboard like this ]j-9rq3j-09dq23dq123ei[0h98eIUO(F340h8f23 in a serial key entry and it unlocked.
I told some guy to fuck off, he threw his copy of Supreme Commander at me and ran off. Best use of the words "fuck off" in the world.
Some weird guy from Canada bought me Left 4 Dead 2.
I went with my stepdad to purchase Fable: The Lost Chapters and the lady at the register scanned it but turned to my stepdad and said "You know this game is rated Mature, right? That means you gotta be 17 to play it." and my stepdad turned to me and with a lisp said "Oh, well Sebastian you're sure you don't that cute Spongebob game?". The lady gave him a dirty look and rang it up. I was in the store earlier that day with my mom trying to return something and we were talking to the same lady and my mom had told her that my stepdad (who originally purchased whatever it was we were trying to return) was illiterate and could barely read. :v:
I told some guy on here some console commands on gmod that he was asking for and in turn he gifted me pre-ordered L4D. I feel bad that I forgot his name, I will have to sign in to steam or look back on my posts to remember. He has to be active or something. whatevs, thanks again bro if you see this.
Oh yeah my bro just gave me a good one :P "We all had this insect habitat thing in our classroom (2nd grade) we had containers we carried around everyday to go catch the bugs. Then this kid pulls out Spongebob for GameCube, pointed to a bee and told me that if I catch the bee and give him credit for it then he would give me Spongebob" He caught the bee and the kid gave him the game. LOL This is the first time I heard that over all the years we had it and it is funny as hell to me.
I was walking home with my friend... Then something caught my eye. It was a COD 4 Manual with a legit CD key behind it. Nobody was looking for it so... :smug:
I used to read one of those really cheap and stupid "teen" magazines that were sold for like $2 by where all the candy and gum by the cashiers is. It wasn't that great of a magazine, but one day while I was reading through an issue, they were having a contest where you submit your name for a chance to win an Inu-Yasha game. I realized that no-one probably even read the magazine, so I decided to enter. Two weeks later I got the game in the mail. I wasn't even really surprised. It had a retail of $60, so I traded it for Burnout 3 at some random Wal-Mart, claiming I got the Inu-Yasha game for my Birthday. Burnout 3 turned out to be one of my favorite games ever. :3
Walking home from school, there was a Red Alert 2 box just sitting on the path. Naturally, I took it home and tried to play it. Someone had used the CD key, so I just found one of the internet. Free game. Sick.
Someone had used the CD key, so I just found one of the internet
Piracy is bad. Unless it's to beat Ubishit DRM.
I walked 6km to a game shop and walked back 6km to home. Mass Effect 2... totally worth it.
On the Killing Floor release day, I attempted to calm the bitching trolls making the steam forums die, by writing a parody of the Entire Portal Still Alive theme. A KF dev pm'd me a key about an hour later.
I'll need to think, but the only free item I can recall was 60 Days of WoW time free. I was at Best Buy buying the prepaid card and the cashier saw what I was buying, he started casually talking about WoW, asking em what server I played on and what race. It wasn't until after I got home and checked the receipt that I noticed he forgot to charge me for it. Another funny thing that happened to me at Best Buy was when they forgot to take off the anti-piracy case they have on some games. I didn't notice until I got out to my car and checked the bag while driving home. I had to turn around and get them to take it off, since those things are a bitch to get open (has happened many times).
I logged on to my steam account to find I was gifted Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory by some guy in the UK. ...Thanks.
I bought a game from walmart. Never doing that again, most of the games there really suck.
Wal-Mart has valve games, therefor you suck.
most of the games r8badreadingm8
I have like 10 games that I've borrowed from different friends. They never wanted them back. And I still know most of them.
My playstation 2 was busted. I gave it to some shotty electronics dealer. 2 weeks later I had it back. I went to play a game. Inside the disc drive was Lego star wars 2. Duno why but I wasn't complaining.
