Last year when I was in high school I opened my locker for the first time and L4D for the PC fell out. I looked in the locker some more and found a bunch of pictures of Zoey. The game was pretty much brand new with the plastic wrap still on it.
What Kind of zoey pics?
My sister stole my favourite ridge racer game and traded it at school for a crappy Jimmy Neutron game, which she threw at me before running off.
I found a copy of Jurassic Park III: Island Attack for the Game Boy Advance inside the sheets of the pullout mattress while at a hotel. The game was absolutely fucking terrible, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was left there on purpose.
sounds a lot like manly tears.
I earned loads of money at that time, so I didn't really mind the money. I was just disappointed. Anyway, it was him that got the game, not me, so I guess I was offtopic. Most unusual way for me, nothing spectacular: A friend of mine who used to work at a hardware store gave me a stack of download keys and CD's from OEM packages for my birthday. I also once won a copy of CivNet in a lottery.
I found an old Gameboy in our car once, and no one really knew who it was from and how it got there in the first place. I still have it somewhere, I think.
You son of a bitch, I want my gameboy back.
Found Pokemon red and a Gameboy on a ferry shoved down the side of a coach.
Found Pokemon Blue, some Sonic game, and Tetris in a bag in the corner of some car dealership.
I was one of those kids who used to go into those shopping stores, head to the magezine section and tear out the free demo discs inside the gaming magezines.
Some dude gave me dirt 2 key to steam when i was helping dad with his work. :buddy: but then dad used the key to his login.
Ah, i remember this one time, i asked a former friend over steam for a game (dawn of war 2), and, after a while i forgot about it, and then all of a sudden i saw that she had bought me the entire fucking THQ pack. She was fucking rich though, so the cost aspect didn't really surprise me.
When i was seven I found a nintendo 64 pokemon stadium in the ball-pit at a Chucky Cheese. :v:
When i was seven I found a nintendo 64 pokemon gold in the ball-pit at a Chucky Cheese. :v:
Was probably covered in syphilis. [editline]10:46PM[/editline]
On the Killing Floor release day, I attempted to calm the bitching trolls making the steam forums die, by writing a parody of the Entire Portal Still Alive theme. A KF dev pm'd me a key about an hour later.
How would THAT help? Like, AT ALL...
Before I left California I talked to one of my relatives I didn't know I had. He said that as a going-away present of sorts he'd let me have a few GameCube games he had of my choice. I picked Star Fox Adventures and something else I can't remember, maybe Luigi's Mansion.
When I was six or seven me and my dad and sister were walking through the park and I found a gameboy color buried in the sand. I spent like an hour getting all the sand out and it worked. I still have that gameboy today.
Back to the thread I can remember that one day my father brought to home a Sonic Advance game that he found on the road( not in the middle obviously)
Thats how I got my Gameboy Colour and Pokemon red, my dad's friend found it in a park and gave it to my dad and my dad gave it to me.
Stole Pokémon:Yellow from my friend I moved away 2 months later. :smith:
The strangest way hmm.. Back when Valve was asking for volunteer translators for Steam and their wiki, I offered to help and when I was done they were kind enough to offer either (in my case) Day of Defeat: Source or the Orange Box, that's how I got all the Orange Box games for free, legally, from them.
Found a random tekken 2 (or was it 3?) disc lying in the middle of the side walk in my old neighborhood. It had cuts into it so deep i swear it was the grand canyon, and yet it still worked (fucking loved that game too)
I borrowed Morrowind from a friend. He never wanted it back. Same goes with Age of Empires II. I borrowed it and when I asked him if he wanted it back, he said, "Nah, you can keep it,"
Bought a copy of GTA IV from some druggie on the street for $10 and it was from Movie Gallery rented. The cool thing was GTA IV had came out just a week before so $60 game for $10.
I went to go get BC2, Asked for the standard, got the limited and when I opened it a GBA Game fell out, That gba game was pokemon saphire, I now have every pokemon game (except for 3, yellow, green and blue). I also found an old Gameboy in my house with a small awesome game in it, I then somehow found pokemon red, but it never actually saved so still a score, thats how I got into my pokemon obsession, thats how I found the awesomeness of the pokemon GB Games.
Nothing big but. I was looking through my cousins old stuff and found ET for the Atari. I felt dirty after touching it
My dad gave me Colin McRae DiRT that came with his new GPU. Strangest occasion I could remember.
Pokemon: Pearl version. On the floor of a bus. I found it a couple years ago, and still have yet to buy a DS to play it with.
