Just ask them to [t]ag along. You can only recruit as many people as you have points in Leadership, though.

And how do I build a barricade?
If you have wooden planks, go up to a door and press B, press the direction where the door is.
Get wood by breaking things (press k when next to object, then bump object) and then walk up to a door/window, make sure it's closed (c), then press b then bump the door/window

i don't think so, considering you can go through them. I haven't tried
You should be able to steal from people when they are sleeping. It could happen to you, and to prevent that build yourself a fort in the store if you are that afriad. Oh yeah and you should be able to kill each other too.
Bikers drop +1 protection coats, CHAR guards drop +2 prot body armor. Not sure what protection does, though.
Go after the bikers, they've only got melee weapons so you can pick them off with a hunting rifle. The guards usually carry shotguns so if you've got a rifle and don't mind running every once in a while you should be able to kill one as long as you didn't start too close to one.
And how do you dismantle objects?

You can, it's a good way to prevent any zeds from seeing you if you just barricade once.

oh god damnit i had lv 3 hauler with all grociers and 100 sleep left, i built myself a little fort of shelves and went to sleep, i woke up with my two friends facing me as a zombie and a necrofite, and more coming in, i was fucked. Fun times

Break the doors to a grocery shop, push one of the stands where the door was, works just as well as a regular door, just need to push it in and out of place to get in and out.
Then break a house door down and push the bed to the shop, then close back up.

I don't stay there, plus one of the survivors is standing on a full pile of groceries, I just bundled them in there to see what would happen, I've got a barricaded house elsewhere with full piles of weapons and food.
It would be nice if you could find an extinguisher and put out burning cars to make them just wrecked cars.
I hate when you spawn and there is a zombie master in the room. And also as soon as you spawn there is a group of zombies.
