I endorse this product with a grin.
I came into the thread humming this.
Such a sexy bass line.
I have the original PD but my N64 won't work right, I got the XBLA re-release.
It's a shame that Goldeneye didn't get released in the same fashion.
It was suppose to (you can find screenshots online), but Nintendo owned the rights and asked for too much money. Then they went and made their own half assed remake. [editline]10th May 2011[/editline] I think the tagline for the thread should have been "Act your age Joanna" (you can get Carringtan to say that if you shoot all the glass bottles in the Villa level, it is also an achievement in the XBLA re-release.)

He told me to use the tagline "FUCK OFF OR I'LL TRASH YOUR SECURITY CLEARANCE" that Grimshaw uses if you stay around in his room too long. Of course though 30 seconds later Trent said his line just before he gets killed, and I probably got the two mixed up and used the one about Scandinavian freaks. Also I spelt Scandinavian wrong in the title and my auto-proofreader didn't catch it.
One of the best games ever made.
The XBLA Perfect Dark Remake is almost a sole reason to own a Xbox.
The XBLA Perfect Dark Remake is almost a sole reason to own a Xbox.
And Halo Reach (Practically a spiritual successor in terms of customization, and with some custom modes, even gameplay) isn't? :colbert:
I have the original game; I love it, but I haven't played it in quite a while. I had no idea that it was worth $120, but... I'd never part with it. I always loved playing multiplayer with my brother against the sims. Villa was my favorite map; I'd set up a laptop gun at the entrance to my defensive area and just wait for them to come by, or hunt them with my Farsight.
I have a mode set up that will make you shit yourself IMO. PM Johny 1337 on XBL if you want to see it. I would prefer someone with a Capture Card comes to record the heart attacks. Only have room for 3 other people though.
Air-Base: Espionage and Datadyne: Research had to have had the best soundtrack.
The entire soundtrack was orgasmic.
No love for Chicago Stealth?
No love for Chicago Stealth?
Hated that mission with a passion, especially on harder difficulties.
Hated that mission with a passion, especially on harder difficulties.
Best song in the game though.
Best song in the game though.
No, the menu music is the best, Chicago Stealth is over-rated, I hate stealth missions in games that are not designed for stealth.
Area 51 escape on Agent was the first level I ever tried to speed run in any game when I was like 10, you had to beat it in a certain amount of time to unlock the Invincibility cheat. I memorized that level so much that I remembered how to do it 8 years later when it came out on XBLA (tho I failed a couple times trying to do it with the new controls)
I need to ask, I forgot how to defeat the last boss after all these years. Does anyone remember? Pumping him full of lead and Gamma radiation isn't working :smith:

Kinda remind me of 007 The world is not enough.
Never played it, but the graphics in those pictures remind me of Deus Ex. I like that.
I have the N64 version, great condition.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rhe2llD-G8#t=9m50s Sad and INTENSE at the same time.
One of my favorite N64 games, and also one of my favorite XBLA games
I honestly like it more than Goldeneye. Perfect Dark for N64 had so much more to do and the multiplayer could keep you playing for hours.
I know this is an old thread but I love Goldeneye and Perfect Dark and just wanted to mention the team that created both also made the Timesplitters series which is also very good and shares similarities to the other games.
I had no idea that this game was re-released! This was my ultimate favorite game during my childhood. Still have my working cartridge along with the N64.
I just beat this with my friend on Perfect Agent. Now we're doing PDZ. Great game.
I still remember the days me and my brother would rush home from school to play multiplayer. We played the fuck out of this game. I believe our playtime was around 80 hours in multiplayer alone before we got a PS2 Counter-op was pretty awesome too
Had a good hour playing a "zombies" mode with fistsims and a few friends. Pants were shat thanks to how relentless the AI is. [editline]2nd July 2012[/editline] Dear god, just reread that horrendous OP I had made. I regret everything
Picked up the steal case version of PDZ for the 360 for like 5 bucks ages ago at Gamestop. Best idea ever.
