Turly the best toys are the most simple. A Dutchman creates some plastic blocks that clip together and it captures our minds for endless hours with us making houses, forts guns spaceships, cars, mechs and so on. And then Lego technic gave us the bionicles, possible the one thing i remember best about my childhood. I would always take Gali, Kopaka an Lewa and their coutnerparts in future series. My brother would take Tahu, Onua and Pohatu and their counterparts. Funfact Bionicle is based on New-Zealand legends almost exactly. At least the first generation is. We all loved lego...
You took the Toas according to the combinations, right? IIRC Gali, Lewa and Kopaka created a Toa Kaita and i can't remember it's name....Oh yeah, the one that Tahu, Onua and Pohatu formed was called Akamai. He had the mask of Valor.
Holy shit, I remember getting stuck in that water people place.
:smith: I remember making fun of the 3 kids at my school who liked bionicle.
Anyone remember a bionicle side-scrolling platformer that came with the original bionicle? I spent years trying to find the disc but it got binned :frown:

I think i played it once, it had allright graphics. Also, the Bionicle commercials in the first gen were freakin' unbeliavable. Those graphics still stand good as today's standards.
while on the topic of super old lego games, can someone link me to lego backlot? that game was awesome.
Direct link: http://www.lego.com/eng/play/games/backlot/LegoMovieMakers.asp?LaunchStartupScreen=1

This game was so good. I loved watching the cutscenes over and over. Though as far as I know the second one was never completely finished?
Robohunter: Spy city was fucking badass
Loved that one but I can't find it anywhere :saddowns:
They made a second one, didn't they? Anyone remember Lego Backlot? Or mother fuckin Lego StormRunner?
Backlot! Lego definitely make the best browser games.
Oh... THIS game. I remember I got stuck and couldn't figure out where to go.
Robohunter: Spy city was fucking badass
Anyone know if it's still around somewhere deep in the Internet? /offtopic I'm listening to your unofficial music compilation Sabrina, and I can't stop nostalgia-ing everywhere, especially when I heard "The End".
Ah this game. This game occupied my time for such a long time. [editline]13th January 2011[/editline] And Backlot too, I hated that jumping the alligators or something part.

OH GOD, the memories. This game was 24/7 eyegasms back when I was a diehard fan of the Bionicle series. But alas, I stopped following the story several years ago. And I can't find a sight or whatever that gives you a rundown of the entire story so far. Is the new Bionicle stories anything like the old gold ones.?
Oh fuck yes
After rediscovering this last December, I dug up my LEGO collection, rebuilt all six original Toa, and set them up on my shelf. They're still there.

I think i still have some of those bohrok or however it's spelt lieing around.
Brilliant game, won it in a fit of nostalgia a few years back.
I used to have tons of bionicle figures, but I decided I got too old for them and gave them to charity. I still have the tubes they came in though, pretty cool.
Bionicle were awesome. I remember I read a comic of them once, it was a promotional thingie but it really cought me thar. Never knew of a video game though.
Well, now you can re-live that nostalgia. Just download it and fire it up, if you want to see a spesific scene you can do that, but i recommend just playing through normally. It gives around 3-5 hours of gameplay, but those are 3-5 nostalgia-filled golden hours. I'm trying to find the web series where the Bohrok-Kal steal dem masks and stuff.

I love you OP.
i remember the gba game
You mean the comics or the flash videos? Because I have links to those three videos on YouTube.
Yeah, the ones in 240p. I was looking for better quality. I suppose the Youtube ones are the only ones left :smith: Someone has to remake that comic in 1080p. I swear.
The OP didn't really talk about the gameplay or even give us any videos of it in action or any screenshots so here's a Let's Play. Looks like it's pretty much just an online point and click adventure game.
Fuck that video made me remember how obsessed I was with this shit. I used to be able to translate the fucking runes above the gate in this video at 3:27
Fuck that video made me remember how obsessed I was with this shit. I used to be able to translate the fucking runes above the gate in this video at 3:27
I can still write with those out of pure memory. I can also write some dwarven runes but that's not the point. I just love all kinds of secret code languages and alphabets. Not to mention the Telescope. I spent hours watching and trying to find the star formations. Also, did you know there was a star formation of Mata Nui's mask in the first game? They had it all already planned.
OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK. I fucking loved this game.
OH FUCK OH FUCK OH FUCK. I fucking loved this game.
Agree x 6
