I can't stand the Hero Factory bullshit. Bionicle was so sick, and with a little more imagination it could have been a respectable franchise! But they apparently murdered the concept artists that made the Mata and Nuva, so the posability went up (great) and the originality went down (horrible).
This thread is making me want to dig up all my old Bionicle sets.

I know it doesn't save, but it's not like the game is so long you can't go through it in a single run.

Shit was real with the red racing car lego game, I wonder why they took it off, I dont really remember what you did in the game, but I just remember it was really fun.
Reason I liked Mata Nui online was that you could explore the island (though it wasn't really multiplayer which I was a fan of back in the day) The rock and water thing part was a bit tricky but I managed it, but I didnt get further than that ( I think that rock part was in the second game, not entirely sure) I do too remember the cutscenes from the first game, really cool. R.I.P
EDIT: Also browsed the Bionicle section of Lego for nostaliga reasons and found out they had deleted my old account, for inactivity, so dont expect your old acc to be there if you're not active on it.

A long time ago, at least 7-10 years, I got this lego set, it was I think a second gen set that came with Makuta and the Toa of Light with his Jetbike thingie. I remember opening it and getting two masks of Light, one the normal Gold and one an opaque Crystal colour. Still can't figure out if that was important or not.
I still have all my set in a bunch of massive plastic tubs somewhere, all in their original canisters. I had evey one of them from first up to that generation that had the spiders that shot the disks and the giant orange one call Keetongu I think. Really feel like getting them out again now. I wanna see if I can find the custom one I made, I used parts from all over, it had black and dark blue frame, silver armour with large circular bohrok pauldrons and wings I took from a Pterodactyl with a spear with the blade from a 2nd gen Lewa Nuva.

I just remembered how I came up with my Youtube username! A friend introduced me to Youtube that day and I wanted to come up with a cool name, I accidentally looked at my Nuju Hordika case and bam! Horidikanas!
This game needs a friggin HD rerelease or something. It had everything! Engaging questline, interesting setting, badass soundtrack, challenging puzzles, a goddamn travel system, fun mini-games, the not-Ocarina of not-Time, and foreshadowing. It even had a built-in walkthrough of sorts with the telescope. Shit, if I could do any kind of coding or something, I'd start up a remake right now.
The story was a lot better too then - it was less complex, and somehow more engaging - probably because of that. None of that "Brotherhood of Makuta" bullshit or whatever, and most of the more complex backstory about biomechanics and stuff being in the background to legendary masks of POWAH. Hell, I'm reading through some on-line stuff right now, and apparently Mata Nui has normal creatures and Rahi were constructs made to fool the Matoran or whatever 'n shit. What happened to fucking EVERYTHING being robots? Shit was awesome back then! It was a legend made story, and the biomechanics only served to make it cool, but NO, now apparently everything is part of some brotherhood's protodermis plan or whatever. AKAMAI! WAIRUHA!
Shit, I remember seeing the Mask of Light for the first time and being excited as fuck to see stuff in the game in a friggin movie. I'm digging through my stuff to rewatch that movie RIGHT NOW.
