I don't think they'd do that, it'd completely undermine the game experience. Like buying gold. Who hasn't been tempted to buy gold at one time or another, especially when first beginning the game. But no sensible person does.

That's just jumping to conclusions.
The horse scales to your fastest mount, if you only have epic riding, or slow flying, it will only go that fast. It doesn't affect your game or their game other than looks.
Now if it were something like 350% speed, we'd have some issues here.

Better having the buff on. +10% healing, damage and HP is nothing to turné Downs. There is no achievement to do ICC without it...

theres that trick with the druid flight form but i've no idea if that works with multi person mounts or not
i seem to recall that they said wintergrasp was going to have bombers etc, probably didn't work out well as all the melee classes would whine too much because world pvp would require team work..

Yes, when it was announced they said something about 'air-combat pvp' kind of stuff.
Would've caused even more lag problems with WG though, and people would ninja them and do silly shit, etc.
It would be cool to have some sort of vehicle only based battleground.

I bought gold. Ashamed, feel foolish. havent dont it in over 2 years but I did.
No reason to now. Gold is far too easy to come by. I bought it when there where about 15 dailies in the whole game before the sunwell patch.

I am very happy to have my common but lovely mount. It's much nicer than a gryphon for ground use as well in my opinion.
