I don't see how that would make any difference to me getting a beta invite.. I don't have to tell them that I've played the game for 2 years and know it like the palm of my hand.
They'd know who would be best for playing on the beta.
I'm not saying you [B]WON'T [/B]get an invite, I'm saying you[B] SHOULDN'T[/B]. The people who put some time and effort into the game deserve it more, you're just playing someone else's character.
They're not looking for people to specifically "play" the beta anyway, they're wanting people that can provide feedback on aspects of the expansion pack and help to improve it before its released, not a free game for people to complain about broken mechanics in like what happened with the Champions beta. If the beta for cataclysm is exclusive to a key demographic within the playerbase demographic, then I'm happy it is. At least that way it's ensured that important aspects of the game are going to be tweaked for us.
Ehm, that's what happens with every beta Reta (hah, rhymed.) People will come on it specifically to play then bitch about how broken it is and how the game will suck.
Think beta invites will go out to people without active subscriptions? I cancelled mine because I can't be bothered finding a new guild that I like and then getting on their raiding team.

Well I just bought another month just incase I need an active sub. Thank god I updated my computer not too long ago.
EDIT: I got an email that I thought was Blizz, turns out I won a case of MTN Dew from a Twitter competition, I'm not sure if I should be disappointed.

But I'm not gonna hope on it at all.
I'd trade my APB Beta account and second battle.net account with every game excluding WoW on it for one D: (It has SC2 Beta though.. not very fun)

And every one of my games is zerg rush / build stupid amounts of protoss turrets outside my base. Nobody ever builds a nice strong defense and tries to get fully upgraded units etc anymore.

If Cata beta does start in the next few days, that would explain the revival of the Screenshot of the day with Cata screenshots, as beta testers could submit things to it.
I doubt I'll get into the Beta. My computer is too crappy to be a high spec computer and not crappy enough for me to test cata for low end computers
Lol, just went to a The Eye run with a bunch of people from another guild, I won the raidroll (the RL even listed what order people were in) but then they decided to give it to one of their guildmates.

Heh, it's funny. I can't remember what my old keybindings were before I reset my UI but my subconcious does. So whenever I go to cast an ability I automatically go to the old keybind evnen though I don't conciously know it.
