I think everyone that has HL1 should get HL1:S free. There is no real difference :S
I think you need pretty much all half-life 2 games plus CSS to have all the texture necessary.

It is only a problem if you want to play HLS campaign co-op, all HL enemies are using custom models so in order to see Half-Life enemies you will not require the game.
