Is that some sort of joke
wat
What I mean is that it doesn't sidetrack from the Half-Life series. Obsidian Conflict aims to make it a different experience by adding new weapons from what I have heard.
If I wanted to play the HL campaign in Multiplayer I would be playing the way it should be played. Without extra items.
Yeah, oc_antlion_attack is a good map. On the end people tend to get stuck outside the dropship though.
Yeah, that is the most annoying part of that map, like I'll end up with 700 score or something, and then lose it all from deaths trying to get in the dropship.

The extra items like the uzi, the gauss gun, the cloaking generator and the shield don't appear in the HL2 series. Those are only there if the mapmakers decide to put them in their own custom map.
The only changes to the HL2 maps are small changes to the maps so that the map can accommodate tons of players, without glitching and having players stuck behind or something like that.

Okay then. Thanks for clearing it up.
On another note. Most people would be using Obsidian Conflict and there would be more servers if they were given support from Steam.
About a month and a half ago, I played oc_mansion, I think it was, basically the only horror map on there, with about 5 friends. It was absolutely hilarious, especially since one of them was so scared, the other had a hlss full of reaction sounds, etc.

OC would have to drop its Half-Life: Source support for that to happen, and I personally do not want that.

Why would they have to drop HL:S support?
Sooo, when are we doing the OC FP game today?
I'm game if we can get a server.
I'm making a series of maps for OC right now, I've got a while before the whole thing is finished though.

They would? How come?
You need to have HLS before you can play it in OC anyway.

Neico and W0rf0x told me this and I don't really remember why. All I know is that they would have to berid of the actual HLS content in any part of the mod, but the enemies are all custom models so they will be able to stay.
First event is tonight! Join the fucking group already!

Oh god yes!

So they have the actual content inside of the Obsidian Conflict folder, so they need to do it like Garry's Mod, where the game only uses the content if you actually own it, right?
Noob question. How do I install this? Just put it in the sourcemods folder?

I'm pretty sure you were too...:v:
hahahahaha. Event was great. From 8-10 we had a great time.
T'was fun.
Aw fuck, I missed it.
Damnit I didn't even see the group posted and I ended up missing it :argh:
I only got to play in starlight, After that I lagged out while loading the next map. ):
Hahahahah. Group link is this:
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/FacepunchOC
And we have an event tomorrow!
you mean right now?
I missed the beginning but got on in the end, while the giant set of stairs was annoying, it was funny to see players get cleaned up by giant chunks of falling rock.
Then my net dropped out while playing deadland.
Well to the Steam Support thing, I've got an mail yesterday in which is the Steamworks License so OC will be on Steam in the future ;)
1.35 will be released stand alone tough.
1.4 (Beta) or 1.0 will be then on Steam... and yeah we got told that we will need to remove the "HL1 dependencies" but i guess that i already have a good solution for that, but i guess the first Steam version will have temporary only an dummy npc instead of the HL1 NPCs... that gives me more time to finish it up and not break the maps that need those NPCs...
Well so far so good i just hope that everyone is ok with that kind of plan :P
:golfclap: 'Bout damn time, you guys deserve it.
