Wasn't this posted a while back?
Sorry if it was, can't do searches at the moment.
Ah, okay, this one is on my list to check out as well (is it Traitor or Terrorist Town?, I have the latter). Yeah, the mouse buttons / controller triggers on the Sniper mode default to highlight/lowlight for suspect management, which throws people at first, but makes them realize the game is different. You have to actually equip the sniper rifle and take off the safety to shoot, so it feels like a concious weighty choice you don't make lightly. Chris
Chris please stop signing your posts
Chris please stop signing your posts
Uh, okay. It's just an old habit. Is this some local forum etiquette thing?
We don't have signatures for a reason. It's rather obnoxious having to read the same message along with every post a guy makes. Doubly so when it's just a name that can be put on your profile anyway.

Chris any estimates on when the first playable version will be, even if it's just a practically unplayable alpha?
Chris any estimates on when the first playable version will be, even if it's just a practically unplayable alpha?
Well, it's "playable" now, depending on how liberal your definition of playable is. :) I've been following the Blizzard "depth first" design methodology, as I talk about a bit here, so it's playable, but I kind of have to be standing there helping out at the beginning: http://spyparty.com/2010/02/01/a-new-decade-an-old-development-philosophy/ It's going to be a few months before anybody who's not in my dining room can play it, because it doesn't work over anything but a LAN right now. I'll post on the blog for some testers later in the year.

If it would allow you to release it any quicker, we'd all be more than happy to set up some sort of Virtual LAN. Also, this looks pretty awesome! Keep it up!
Oh, it's the guy who ruined Spore! =p Nah, just messing with you. Anyway, this game looks great. I plan on buying as soon as it's released. You may, if you haven't already, want to consider seeing if you can get this on Steam. It'd help draw attention, and you'd likely get more sales. Can't wait for the release.

A Virtual LAN is not anything close to what Hamachi does.
You need these for sure [editline]09:55PM[/editline] Camera Beard
Nice to see that the guy who ruined Spore is trying to redeem himself.
This is ages from release don't you dare make a fucking thread about it. I'm trying to forget about how awesome it is so I don't wait.
Hamachi is not a VLan. A Virtual LAN is not anything close to what Hamachi does.
I'm sorry for not knowing either of the exclusive terms for the services they provide. But you got the gist of the message I was trying to convey.
Can I come over and play it?
If you're around the SF Bay Area, send me email and maybe sometime this summer. :)
Sweet, I live in the bay area May I ask which city you live in?
Can the sniper move about or is he stationary?
Yeah Steam would probably be a good idea. Also, what DanTehMan said, Facepunch could be helpful.
