Why are you all complaining that games don't deserve a spot on his personal top 5?
Because some guy's opinion on video games conflicts with my opinions and that makes me angry!!!!
Sorry, I couldn't hear you over me driving a 747 off of a mountain dragging a Mid-Asian Three-Wheeled Car. [editline]5th January 2011[/editline] Which was fucking awesome, I may add.
I wouldn't know about that, I'm not very far in JC2 and I haven't even played ME2. But since everybody goes crazy for it I was expecting it to at least be in his top 5.
I always forget about Zero Punctuation videos for a few months at a time, then I remember and there are like 15 to watch, I love it.
just brought just cause 2 just because
haha Metroid other M was god awful [editline]6th January 2011[/editline] I own a copy of his book and its filled with this kind of humor
There are mods for that.
Unless you can find me one then nope. I've browsed through almost every mod for JC2.
I stopped taking him seriously when he got a strange half-life bias where any game that isn't a half life clone (aka nothing) is "ABSOLUTE WANKERSHIT DONT BUY THIS GAME" and he payed too much attention to realism in games (IE Emile sitting his ass down in places even a man with a magnetic ass wouldnt sit) and reviewed good games poorly based off their community. tl;dr, this guy is either pulling the talk radio scheme (acting completely batshit in order to get views) or ignores the fact that it is just a game.
HAhah, look at the idiot who took him seriously
Where was Minecraft? Someone should introduce him to THAT sandbox game. This makes me sad :saddowns:
I love people who get all butthurt over Zero Punctuation whenever Yahtzee doesn't like something that they like. I even showed someone his review of Bioshock 2 to sum up my feelings on it, the guy immediately assumed that ZP got payed to give it a negative review because there are ads on the site :downs:
Swap just cause 2 with mass effect 2 and dead rising 2 with stalker: call of pripyat and I agree wholeheartedly with his top 5
Woop, there we go another ignoramus.
Woop, there we go another ignoramus.
moar liek ignor-ANUS amirite :xd:
To be honest, when I'm buying a game, I do this; - 'Professional review' (IGN etc.) - ZP review - Back of game Buy buy buy.
That was a pretty good review.
Yahtzee is an excellent reviewer whose reviews are composed in such a way that they accurately paint a picture of the game itself, and provides proper criticism and praise of said game. All without upsetting any of the viewers who may love/hate the game. Seriously though, Yahtzee is a bloody genius, and if his reviews hurt you, DEAL WITH IT.
What other games have a singleplayer field THIS big, and have SO many options of killing people and blowing shit up? Just cause 2 was a MASSIVE improvement over the first and for that redeeming factor alone it deserves first place.

Glad Red Dead Redemption got on the list, because it was fucking brilliant.
Eh, I share Yahtzee's taste in games to a big degree, so while I don't use his reviews as the bible, they still influence me a lot. They didn't stop me from getting [Prototype] and getting Psychonauts after his recommendation definitely was a good choice. I'm criticizing stuff a lot myself and I most certainly don't value the opinion of people that say "oh ma god teh Amnesia demo is soo scarrry I cudnt finish it". Those are easily impressed in my opinion. I never give a crap about "official" reviews either because they're in general way more positive and more inclined to overlook stuff than I am. And this strategy has served me very well.
Red Dead Redemption simply MUST come to the PC. I cannot stress this enough. :colbert:
