Anyways, is there a place where I can get RCT2? And are there any good mods for the 3 games?
RCT2 was really good, used to be one of my favourite games.
Fuck, that reminds me. I still should install RCT2 complete.
I went through a big phase of RCT3 a few months back, using scenery and shit too even though it's a waste of money, still made some kick ass roller coasters with nice underground places.
God damn I love RCT 1 and 2. RCT 3 is fun sometimes but nowhere near as awesome.
Also did anyone notice the big bump?
RCT3 wasn't bad in and of itself, but Chris Sawyer (Transport Tycoon/Deluxe, RCT1/2, Locomotion) had nothing to do with it and it really shows. Compared to the previous games it doesn't stand up.
It's still a good game in its' own right though, and is the most graphically advanced Theme Park Sim I'm aware of. (besides the truly realism focused coaster only sims)
Theme Park World was a shitty ripoff of RCT anyway.
RCT was and still is the shit, I get it out every now then and try to complete it :)
If you are wondering where to get some of this stuff, suprisingly I found all the games at Officemax for quite cheap.
On a related note, Assassin's creed 1 was 10 bucks at office max.
Anyone remember that one Roller Coaster sim game made by Bullfrog? Shit was so cash.

I remember when I finally made a roller coaster that had 8 excitement rating.
I was so excited.
Only problem with the 3rd was the horrible lag when your park got to specific size. Other than that, I love it just as much as the originals.

I had so many tricks in this game
I'd see how much a guest has right before they enter the park, I jack up the price so they spend all their money instantly
Make a shuttle loop steel roller coaster, and expand it. Cheap massive money cow
Don't make Go Karts lines more than 2 paths, they'll sit in line forever
Turn off mowing the grass or you'll find your handymen on the otherside of the park mowing some obscure piece of grass (RCT2 fixed this)
Jack up prices of umbrellas while its raining
If you start with an abandoned park quickly cut off the paths so guests don't run away from the main area and get lost, which they always seem to do
Charge 10 cents for the bathroom to cover expenses
There's more. This game was my damn CHILDHOOD.
I liked 1 the most, 2 was great, and 3 wasn't bad, but it was so different from the classic 2D that I couldn't get used to it.

First 2 videos in the OP were so dull and boring. To think one of them is a real ride shocks me.
Theyre mostly just "CUSTOM SCENERY LOL" which bores me.
Need to get this back on my computer and have some fun. Used to have a park with multiple floors, elevators dotted around the map to take people to the upper floor :d was humerous to watch
I remember my friend had RCT1 (for some reason the shortcut was named "aaaaaa") that I played and had fun with, and later on I got RCT3.
That last coaster in the OP made me want to reinstall RCT3, but its a shame that when I reformatted I forgot to backup all my saved stuff.
I need to find my RC2.

It's Epcot, not exactly a theme park, but I still thought it was a fun ride when I rode it.
The main reason I hate RCT3, no undo button, instantly made me uninstall and never touch the game again, waste of money for me.

In roller coaster tycoon1, I made it go down a big hill, have a small flat area, and go down even more (since you couldn't stop the track mid-way.)
The cart flew off and exploded.
Reviving this thread, because I love these games.
I'm currently playing through 3's scenarios just now and I plan on finishing it's Expansion pack maps as well, before moving onto RCT2 again.

First time I got that, I didn't notice. I just knew a ride was broken down. Turned out one car was in the station not moving, another was zooming around the track. So obviously it hit the other and exploded. And RCT1 does this thing where it pops a window up with the sound focus on it when that happens. So I was just minding my park when suddenly [i][b]BOOOOOOOM!!![/b][/i] OH SHIT SON THAT FUCKING ROLLERCOASTER [i]EXPLODED![/i] Never got such a fright in my life. My mouse went flying off my desk.

I used to spend forever perfecting a coaster only for my guests to jump as they approached the gate and turn back. "Roller Coaster 1 looks too intense for me!" Fuck you, you're all getting drowned.
