Oh god, I remember this game. Anyone remember when you you won the map (completed the challenge) and if you placed a lot of cheap balloon stalls around then everyone would let go of their balloons and start clapping, then you'll see hundreds of balloons in the air.

I also placed about 10 balloon stalls all in different colours to get an awesome rainbow at the end of the game. Balloons sell like hot cakes, they're awesome for getting cash. Hell yeah, I have RCT3 on Steam. The other 2 on disks.

Its a shame the only RCT thing on Steam is the trailer for the 'Soaked' expansion pack..........which isnt avaliable in my region.

You can get rct 1 and 2 in cereal boxes these days. But I still remember buying them in retail. Was (pretty much still is) an amazingly fun game, I remember spending hours and hours making confusing coasters.

Argh. I want to play RCT2 so bad. I got it from Direct2drive and the goddamn thing says i need to insert my CD to play. Bastards.

I need to install this game again.

I remember the best tip ever, and one glitch. Make a go kart with 3 station pieces, two turns, 3 straight, then 2 more turns. Set the laps to 10, and you get a go karts with a 6.0 excitement rating. I could charge 4 bucks for that thing, and they'd still find it "a good value". Also, in RCT2... While editing your coaster, click "save game" from the menu, then when it asks you where to save/what to name it, cancel out. The coaster window and the construction window will be closed, but the piece will still exist transparently. INVISIBLE COASTER! You can even sell 'em back for free money. :D

I remember getting the first person that would enter my park and rename him to my name and put notifications on. I'd make sure I'd choose someone who likes rollercoasters. Rct2 is classic.

Is anyone running RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 on Windows 7 64bit? I got it from Direct2drive, but it just crashed everytime i tried opening it, even after i patched it up. The patch required me to find a CD (which is stupid because i downloaded it...)

The Test Track was like a nostalgia overload. I remember going to Disney World nine years ago. Funnily enough I only remember the really fucking fast part.

I spent all day as a kid making that one rollercoaster than goes up and down and doesn't have an end on an island. ten I turned the power up on it so cars would fly off the end of the tracks. Finally, I managed to time a perfect collision between the flying coaster and a train on the side of the lake. Not much happened :saddowns:

I remember trying to make those plane rollercoasters in RCT3 to fly. I horribly failed.

Recently reinstalled RCT1 for the nostalgia, and I recently went to a couple of theme parks so I feel roller coaster-y. This game is more difficult than I remember.

Ok, just had my first crash since the reinstall. 16 people died. Fuck station brake faliures. Fuck them.

I think I have the third game and an expansion lying around, my friend gave it to me along with the first game (which is in my optical drive right now). It's really fun, I like to play it occasionally even though it doesn't have super-advanced 3D graphics with 1080p resolution, it aged pretty well so far. Except, one weird thing is sometimes if I change the price of a ride it'll [i]completely[/i] change the behaviour of all visitors. For instance, if I increase it by ten cents, sometimes no one will pay for it at all, and if I decrease it again the whole line will be full. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground. I've never had a rollercoaster crash though, I just threw people in water or something.

Just got Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 again, I picked up a complete pack copy from town, I forgot how much fun it can be sending people off the end of rollercoasters :buddy:
