I didn't hear any latin, and I am currently taking latin, and it sounded ALOT like the stuff we are learning.
Doesn't sound shit like the stuff we're learning. Wait, make up your mind.
Doesn't sound shit like the stuff we're learning. Wait, make up your mind.
Shit sorry wrongly written, Im tired. What I ment to say is. I didnt hear any ACCENT and it sounds alot like the latin i am learning. But It dosn't sound like its russian, it has no accent too it. Maybe they speak latin in the future? But its probably more of a advertising ploy, they want people to re-watch it and re-watch it to figure out what they are saying, and get real interested in it. as we can see it has worked on me.
neil sucks as a director. christ; he proved us that in district 9 the only reason you dipshits get all batshit insane about it is because of the cool special effects - the actual cinematography is absolutely terrible. good job, neil - you manage to make another crappy video and please the idiots
Fucking 09ers.

The language is probably Afrikaans or some other South African language. Blomkamp is a South African native. [editline]12:35AM[/editline] Apparently he was a 3D animator on Stargate. [editline]12:35AM[/editline] That explains some things, SG1 had some pretty kickass CGI for 1998.
The language is probably Afrikaans or some other South African language. Blomkamp is a South African native.
Now that sounds reasonable. http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Unnamed_Halo_3:_ODST_short There it says they're speaking hungarian.
Fucking 09ers.
oh no it can't be possible that it's an alt of a previously banned user; that's just absurd
Now that sounds reasonable. http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Unnamed_Halo_3:_ODST_short There it says they're speaking hungarian.
But isn't hungarian use alot of latain words? but Hungarian sounds right.
But isn't hungarian use alot of latain words? but Hungarian sounds right.
Nope, Hungarian is like finnish, it's pretty much different from germanian, slavic or roman languages.
Good lord, that would make an awesome movie, everything just looked so cool. I'm not sure about the game though, One of my friends are bound to get it, so I will probably spend that weekend beating it.
Very good trailer, they could practically make a movie out of all these "live action" adverts.
The brute didnt look too realistic, kinda like a plastic toy that has been put onto a blue-screen. But still, i thought that was fucking insane
Because Brutes are very realistic
But isn't hungarian use alot of latain words?
No. Like, not even close.
oh no it can't be possible that it's an alt of a previously banned user; that's just absurd
And you deserve to be/stay banned for being so stupid.
honestly this looks like it was all shot in the same garage, whats so great about it :/
honestly this looks like it was all shot in the same garage, whats so great about it :/
I'm not sure what you mean by "shot in the same garage" what are you comparing it too? I think for a commercial this is close to cinematic quality...
i dunno, it's just so lame.
i dunno, it's just so lame.
What's lame about it? Not trying to be argumentative just curious as to why you didn't like it.
i dunno, it's just so lame.
bla bla bla halo sucks Does anyone even really give a fuck about people not liking Halo. Go masturbate instead of wasting your time.
Hmm, as for the language, I'm not sure, It kind of sounds like my language, Maltese, but My parents heard it and didn't recognize it, because I don't speak Maltese.
bla bla bla halo sucks Does anyone even really give a fuck about people not liking Halo. Go masturbate instead of wasting your time.
I don't like Halo, but I still play it. How does that work? Don't know. Trailer still looks cool though.
i love halo, it's just so forced and draw out. like it's intention was for all that broody im a badass quiet tension that hovers all around the feeling of the movie to explode in a fanboy's scream know what i mean? like halo one is the shit, the rest is shit. imo they should have left halo as it was cause in anything else with the halo name on it they couldn't match the genuine awe that was inspired by halo 1's single and multiplayer. oldschool epic shit, feelin me? marathon's style, or even other shit like oot but in a different way. like halo 2-3 felt more made by microsoft than made by bungie, despite who made it. they didn't even ruin halo by giving away everything that made it so mysterious and awesome they just drew it out and made it stale, didn't go in the right direction at all.
What's lame about it? Not trying to be argumentative just curious as to why you didn't like it.
there's a legit reason, i could tell you later probably.
Damn that video's hot.

Also I don't think the last half of your second sentence was written in any form of discernible English. If you are saying the greater inclusion of marines, or the feeling that the levels in H2 and H3 felt more 'active' than the ones in Halo CE, then I partly agree. I liked the kind of isolated feeling you got when you did missions in the first game, although I liked the marines in H2 and H3 because it made you feel like you were part of a larger fighting force, and in Halo 3 especially I almost always felt like I was competing with the marines rather then working with them. I mean the sole reason for the MC doing all those solo missions in H1 was because the Autumn didn't really have any specialized, elite troops, just regular marines and some engineers. Whereas in Halo 2 and 3 you have ODSTs, and a shitton more regular and veteran marines already engaged in battle by the time you arrive.
i liked the isolation because it didnt flesh out everything, and the less fleshed out a story's world is the more epic it can be. halo as a shooter was alright, the thing i really liked was the mood, it wasn't fleshed out but in a sort of masterful way, like the matrix. like it felt like the dev had actually fleshed everything out in development. like the matrix, it had two sequels, but the matrix's sequels were actually pretty good in that they answered a lot less questions than they raised, they still held that mystique up high (though not as high as the first matrix). in halo's case halo 2 and 3 shattered the mystique of the original so much for me i don't really regard them as sequels, in my mind halo stands by itself with no sequels.

Are you tired or something? High? Drunk? Maybe I'm too tired but I don't understand you aside from saying that you prefered Halo's isolated atmosphere over H2 and H3's. Is that it?
High?
i'd say hella enthusiastic but yeah. the last paragraph of that post you quote says what im saying as best as i can.

The sort of empty feeling of Halo CE and not knowing what the hell was going on made it all the more appealing. Then they decided to throw all that away and threw in Breaking Benjamin, the cast from Planet of the Apes, and then forced you to end the game as a second rate character.../rant

I still think Halo 2 did a really good job with the story, how it set up and then executed the covenant civil war war very cool. One thing I didn't like in Halo 3 was the random relationship between Johnson and keys they sprung up without explanation, although I really like how it showed Johnson as beginning to 'slow down'- getting captured by the brutes in the beginning, and then failing to hold the control room... it showed more of his 'human' side that we were not shown in the first two, where he was the King of the badasses and rarely showed any sort of emotion.
