It's easy to get shit loads of money without cheating in Uplink. Just keep doing the "My esteemed colleague wishes to make a Donation" missions, eventually you'll get one where there's tons of credits in it, and after the mission you can just transfer the rest to your own account. I got a million credits from just a single mission like this.

[sp]You have to try to log in the ARC server with the stuff he gave you. If I remember correctly, you only have 1 IG week to do so, then it leaves you out of the storyline...[/sp]
