Install the Latest patch
You should be able to run it at medium-low settings with low FPS (20 or less)

Sorry I snorted 10 lines of coke before doing this video and used the shittiest camera ever. It gets the point across though. That was probably the least resource hogging area in the game, too. But the lowest the fps goes is probably 20's rarely.

Incredibly, beautifully playable all max (except view distance), however during the day it turns into a single digit slideshow. Benchmark says 17fps, but I think it overestimated a bit there.
I think I get an average of 30-something FPS with everything maxed.

Get the PC edition and get mods as well.
Vice City = All Time favorite to be honest. San Andreas is 2nd.

No, I said I was getting it on the Xbox. I feel that free-roaming games are better on consoles, like FPS are better on PC. I already have it on PC, but I don't enjoy it as much as I did on a console when I played it years ago.
