I have that game for PC, well my brother does, i showed him this post and he flipped out! he thinks this is the best swtar wars game ever! TY for making my day!
Well, that wasn't my intention, but I guess you're welcome. Like I said, it's not a terrible game at all, but it's certainly not the best Star Wars game, either.
Wolfenstein!
I so hoped for a good sequel to RtcW, but this was just not what I wanted.
RtcW was all about secret Nazi-experiments, starting at all the stuff that was actually planed but turned out too expensive or downright retarded to really build, all the way to occult experiments. It felt like a horror themed spionage plot. In the end the Nazis fucked around with magic and occult artefacts and released some bad shit they couldn't control and BJ had to fight Nazis AND supernatural zombie ghost mutand stuff.
Now the new wolfenstein was just like 'yeah, you know the routine, nazis and supernatural stuff, so heres some magical super nazis, have fun. Oh and lets throw in some half-assed freeroam elements and all the quick-throw-grenade-regenerating-health-stuff, its 2009 after all' It didnt even try to create any atmosphere, just strange sci-fi WWII crossover stuff. If it was from the ÜBERSOLDIER series, I might judge it more lightly, but wolfenstein is my favourite game series, so it was horrible in my opinion
Jaws Unleashed. The graphics were extremely poor, the gameplay was appalling and there was no immediate story! All that coming from a game made in 2006! Which was in development for an additional two years!
S.T.A.L.K.E.R
Huuuge potential if they would have made it abit more like Fallout 3.
Far cry 2
Could have been so much better if it wasn't so damn annoying and repetitive!

Most people including me are still playing that because it is something different then other fps. Also fo3 wasn't even announced when this game got released.

This game could have been so good.
It's not bad, but it's far from great.
It could have been much better. It feels too... Soft. No satisfaction in shooting Nazis in it.

Get used to it, I can see a pattern going to emerge in sequels to old games
Hell, any game made just now.

Meet the only reason I got UT3.
I hated UT3 because when I heard the Enforcers were back, I was fucking pshyched, hoping for those old school pistols to come back from UT99
To get these piece of shit pistols that suck balls. It almost made me want to break the disk, but I baught it simply because I knew mods would make up for it.
Shame there are only like 10 mods for UT3.
Although some are pretty badass.

So much wasted potential. :frown:
Half-Life 2, mainly because the graphics sucked and it looks like it was made in like an hour.
The graphics aren't even bad today.
Seems like you started gaming in 2007.
Although of course it would've been better if it was made now.
Couple months after it came out, I think. Worst game ever.
You can't be serious, the graphics (and scripted scenes oh godddd) were revolutionary back then.
Burnout Paradise, if we had more cars to choose from, a bigger city, well, more of everything.
Left 4 Dead
Haha more like Games you sucked at. imo
I have to agree with Alone In The Dark. It would been great with some minor changes: controls, battle system, inventory ... atleast 85 points
Gothic 3 also ... The huge community patch fixes most of the bugs, but you have to start from all over if you install it.
Maybe Stalker: Clear Sky, it was buggy and it managed to remove some good features from 1st serie.

I crave a game that lets you get up and walk about inside your ship and MG is the only game I've played to date with that functionality (Bar some old DOS games).
It's a shame the game itself was utterly, undeniably, indisputably awful.
B.R.E.E.D. You can walk around inside the dropships and even load tanks and jeeps into them.
Which brings me on to:
B.R.E.E.D. I played the demo, I fucking loved it just for what I mentioned. Air combat was pretty fun. It was dubbed a 'Halo killer' by PC Gamer, but ultimately it flopped due to rigidity, lack of polish and some pretty bad bugs. I still found it an enjoyable experience in multiplayer, although absolutely noone plays it anymore.
Another game where you can walk around inside vehicles is Joint Ops and its expansion, you could load jeeps into a Chinook, or lie flat on the deck of a blackhawk using it as a sniping platform. Pity the helicopters are so easily destroyed and they're not fun to fly at all. Controls were way too arcadey.
Another game which I enjoyed but was also a major failure was Echelon: Wind Warrior. VERY fun dogfighting but as with B.R.E.E.D, it had a lot of bugs and wasn't very polished. Plus, it's a Ukranian game published by 1C Company, and didn't get much publicity.

Even the cover looks half-assed.
The hind was, like, the worst helicopter in the game mainly because it was probably slower than running on foot.
But it had a fuck ton of guns on it
Far Cry 2.
FarCry 2. A fine example how graphics don't make a game good, when the gameplay is boring and repetitive.

Took the words out of my mouth.

Remember for me it was the wii version, I have heard it was a little better for other sytems, but it was like 3.5/10 as opposed to 3/10 for wii.

I never expected to reach 6 pages LOL!
Now, don't get me wrong. This game wasn't BAD. What it was, was mediocre. Fun gameplay and combat, with a cool upgrade/armor system, a kickass story, this game had all the right pieces but they fucked together in the wrong way. I think the Valkyrie-ascending-to-carry-you thing really is what killed my buzz, and the fact that so many super-enemies were batshit-insane-tough that you would die 3 to 4 times on one also really grinded my gears. This game had excellent potential, even high enough to become an A+ List title, but a lot of minor annoyances made it mediocre.
Also, the battle with Hoth or Hos or Hosefhghplhg or whatever was fucking stupid.
EDIT: The Darkness is still way better. Even though you can't really compare the two, The Darkness was still the cream of the crop for action-based games with amazing stories. Half Life also did well in this regard.
That was Silicon Knights' worst game. They should've just released it for the Gamecube.
Two of the worst games I've ever played.

It had sooo much potential to be a great game. It had the features that made it seem so cool, like, being able to pilot a ship out of a station, and dock it without and loading screens. Also, being able to leave the pilots seat of your ship while it's in flight. But, the game was bland, boring, and downright shit.

It was shit. Plain and simple. If you'd like to ignore my word, then play the game yourself. I don't want to get into any further detail, or else I'll put my fist through my monitor. I only played it through to the end because it was seemingly interesting, and I'm a big WH40K fan.
Darkest of days could of been pulled off a little better. I liked it but it just had a lot of bugs and was really unreliable. And the texture quality could have been better. Some of the textures on objects looked like they were from a ps2 game

Was that that game where you could hold your pistol like a gangsta' for no fucking reason at all?
Battlefield 2142: Futuristic BF2, sounds fantastic on paper but they somehow managed to take all the fun out of it. Playing the game just felt really wrong, and the unlock system ruined it by having to unlock simple stuff like grenades.
Star Wars Force Unleashed: Could of been great, had all the parts like fantastic force moves but they managed to ruin it. Jumping across gaps was a nightmare and the combat was really unvaried.
Assassins Creed: Tried to be too clever, should of stuck more to the free running POP style stuff. Having 4 massive cities that you can warp to would of been much better than the system they had at the start.
Spore: Said many times for obvious reasons.
Red Steel: Using a wiimote to control a gun has great potential, was too early in the Wii life and seemed rushed. The controls just didn't feel right.
Most people including me are still playing that because it is something different then other fps. Also fo3 wasn't even announced when this game got released.
I know that, I just used fallout 3 to describe how I wanted the game to be! I'm not saying that I want Stalker to be another Fallout 3 but if it would be similar to the way Fallout 3 is played!

I'd enjoy Fallout 3 more if it had gameplay like STALKER. Fallout 3 is fun, but in the end the combat is just "HURHURHURVATSSHOOTHURHURR". STALKER actually requires some skill to stay alive, and there are even scenarios where you'd rather avoid an encounter than rush in with guns blazing. Fallout 3 is a better game if you approach it as an RPG.
[editline]10:06PM[/editline]
I enjoy both games very much.
Fallout 3 did feel like it was dependent on the VATS system every shoot out
Fallout 3 did feel like it was dependent on the VATS system every shoot out
I am currently having a go at going the entire thing without using VATS. Gives it an interesting twist.
FarCry 2. A fine example how graphics don't make a game good, when the gameplay is boring and repetitive.
I actually liked FC2, sure it was a bit repetitive and I raged my first play through. I played through it again recently and really enjoyed it. Sneaking up on people seemed a lot more fun, and the random douchebag camps along the roadsides weren't as frustrating.
That aside it is a repetitive game, however some of the mechanics it had could be well used in future games. Such as the degrading weapons, real time broken weapons in Fallout 4 or the next Elder Scrolls game would be amazing, same goes for the real time menus. Maps and inventory could be entirely dealt with in the world and be much much more immersive.
