Freelancer is best. It has MP, too.
there's six posts in this thread and you have obviously not even attempted to read the first three good job
When a Majority of people give the same answer, it's most likely because that's the answer the OP is looking for Also, X3 Yes X3 has Sectors with the ships and goodies inside the central area of a sector... But there's nothing stopping you traveling a thousand kilometers in any direction, the planets are actually 3D but it's quicker to orbit the earth in a car to even try in X3, not to mention the nearly 200 sectors in the game... you'll be plenty busy
Freelancer, Its better than any game these people listed.
Freelancer is a close second, next to X3 for me.. X3 is like freelancer on crack
Freelancer is a close second, next to X3 for me.. X3 is like freelancer on crack
I wouldn't say that. X3 has a lot of improvements over freelancer, but freelancer just has an very high underlying quality to it that makes it very nice to play. I still remember that time I went through like 6 backwater systems filled with xenos and exploding gas/rocks to get the strongest ship in the game. [editline]12:27AM[/editline] And I did it at 20% hull :frogc00l:
Noctis does fit the bill very well, but I found it to be very boring since you'll never see anything spectacular.
Spore is actually really good, X3: Terran Conflict is also excellent but slow paced (albeit faster than all previous X games including Reunion)
Spore
Space Rangers 2: Reboot. Fun game.
yeah it looks awesome but its not out yet :crying:
Only five more years :v: Also; XBTF (X - Beyond the Frontier), EVE if you have the money/means for montly payment and want an interactive world, X2, X3R, X3TC
Noctis You can't upgrade anything but you can explore billions of planets in a galaxy about 90 thousand light years in radius. By explore I do mean get out and walk around on the planet's surface.
Fucking this. I spent so many hours in Noctis. It's a relatively simple game, but I had so much fun claiming and naming my own planets and stuff. I'd recommend this game to anyone, especially since it's only like a megabyte in size.
X3/freelancer Though, I think am gonna try Noctis, seems great enough.
X3/freelancer Though, I think am gonna try Noctis, seems great enough.
If you have Vista or W7 it might not work. You may have to run it in a virtual PC. There's a bootable disk you could try though. http://anynowhere.com/bb/posts.php?t=4390 [editline]06:56PM[/editline] DOSBox config: http://anynowhere.com/bb/posts.php?t=4458
When i try to launch Noctis i get a error that my system does not support full screen.

Spore.
Lame graphics, but pretty fun. Space station 13 on BYOND is pretty good.
