No Endercreepers (Creenders? Endeers? Enperds?).

I want more ender-creatures. More weather too. Could be something like Enderfog, which will turn monsters into ender variants of themselves. (Higher HP, teleport when attacked, etc.) The teleport would be nerfed on them, like they couldn't teleport through walls. Same things for animals, but without the HP boost. It would affect the player by slowing them a bit, and if you stay out too long without a fog shield on, (Helmet, crafted by 1 leather helm with a piece of wool underneath.) it would start to damage you. Think like being in water, but you would have a much longer time before starting to drown.

No Endercreepers (Creenders? Endeers? Enperds?).
When they explode they should teleport the blocks in their blast radius somewhere else nearby.
When they explode they should teleport the blocks in their blast radius somewhere else nearby.
If the explosion teleports blocks instead of destroying them, then what would happen to the player? Doesn't make sense that it would just damage them. Maybe it could teleport the player into the air to take fall damage from the landing, or in a random direction so the player might get teleported off a cliff or get teleported closer to other mobs.
Maybe the explosion teleports the blocks 10 or so blocks into the air, and then all the blocks are affected by gravity and fall down. If the player is on it he'll fall too and take damage.

I like this teamwork we've got going. Base idea, and then a dinosaur improves it.
A runic system using the Standard Galactic Alphabet. Why SGA? Enchantment tables use it, too. We have potions and enchantments, why not sprinkle a little more magic dust? Asthma, perhaps? Placing raw stone into an enchantment table opens up options like any other tool. (What? Another enchanting idea? Stone, get some real ideas!) Hold on a sec, I'm not through. Options include elements, levels, and what have you. Okay, it's getting similar to the wands idea I had a while back, but these are craftable. You can't just enchant a single Fire Stone and think it'll be useful. If wands were added, one could just enchant a level 3 fire spell using five experience levels. OR you could enchant a few Level Stones (also using respective experience levels, but going up to five). Got some Level Stones and elemental stones? Great, now it's time to craft. Craft them together in your 2x2 crafting matrix and you'll get some runes in SGA. Well, the icon would be in some form of SGA. The name would be similar to wands, like making a Lv5 Fire rune would be called "Inferno." A Lv5 Ice rune would be called "Coccyx." There are no "attributes" to this, unlike wands. You remember back from your childhood, playing RuneScape? Well, this system is inspired from that.
Sounds pretty cool but why would the ice rune be named after the bone in your ass?
to make bread to put three grapes in a column and smash them together. seems legit

Painterly Pack has a neat option to replace wheat with grapes and bread with wine.
:v: [editline].[/editline] 777th post.
Sounds pretty cool but why would the ice rune be named after the bone in your ass?
Just made up a word that doesn't belong, like every other enchantment. Does it really mean that? :suicide:
How about having the Enderation of mobs be Minecraft's "corruption" mechanic:After wooping the Enderdragon's ass,the Ender portal starts releasing its corruption(not necessarily changing blocks,it could be a fog that spreads or something),slowly boring its way to the surface and making the area around the stronghold into a dark, foggy wasteland with very pale grass and lots of Endermen and Endermobs(Skelender hehe),with the Endermen building obelisks and eldritch statues of god knows what. It wouldn't spread indefinitely,it would only take over the area around the stronghold you killed the Enderdragon in.If the stronghold was underwater,Endersquids would start building ugly little islands and/or the corruption would infect caves. Some of the stone in the area would start changing to Enderstone and some valuable mineral that is valuable in some way(better than diamond tools or maybe something completely different, like an ore that is the beginning component for some complicated, silly science endgame stuff along the lines of Industrialcraft or the other big factory mods) [editline]20th March 2012[/editline] Oh hey, page king
Proper fucking mountains to go along with the new world height, we need something CHALLENGING AND OVERLY EPIC in the landscape...

I think an "Exclusion Zone" biome should be in order for a mod. A prefabricated Chernobyl NPP will spawn in the middle. Trees will have a dead leaves texture, the fog will force slight yellow, and there'd be certain mopbs that spawn there. (Snorks, Boars, and wolves with a new texture that are the blind dogs. What if there were Pseudodogs, and they were part of the motivation to enter the Zone? As in, you could tame them. Also there'd be some kind of reward in the middle of the Chernobyl NPP.
I was gonna say a Chernobyl reactor resembles a society way too much, something Minecraft doesn't have - but then I remembered there's strongholds and villages. Though, nuclear reactors seems a bit awry for a 'youre on your own have fun and good luck surviving' kind of game.
A reactor wouldn't really fit in vanilla. In a mod maybe but not in vanilla. Also there should be old abandoned Castles to compliment the villages and dungeons and strongholds (and mineshafts).
Now, /magical/ wastelands, with strange arcane ruins and the possibility to find enchanted tools, experience, and other strange things, that would fit in just fine.
Oh yeah, a magical wasteland would be amazing; tall blue grasses, twisting archtrees, and misty crags. Ancient shrines adorned with harvestable glyphs, long-abandoned wizard towers with secrets that only an adept of the occult could decipher. Wood from the archtrees could be crafted into wandwood and staffwood for use in enchanting, and the grasses could be cultivated to grow arcane wheat, giving a source of power-nourishing food. It would be awesome.
A very simple aesthetic idea. Limestone. That's it, basically it's only purpose would be a lighter stone building material. (which I really need atm :v:)
I want the ability to create a living chest that follows me around. A type of Luggage you could say. Maybe you'd need to make it out of some type of rare wood...
And it would need rainbows and dragons and Harry Potter.
Surely Harry Potter mobs would be the most dangerous of them all, roaming the wastes in packs at night.

For moving lightsources, instead of actually changing the blocks light level, they have an overlay on the lit object (Flaming minecart, player's torch, etc) that makes it look like it's changing the light level, but it really isn't.
ive been re reading the discworld books and could be pretty cool thing to have, it adds a bit to the risk of mining overground or into mountain something like the Luggage would be cool too (it follows you around and is made from sapient paperwood, and it teleports)
A Chest Golem would indeed be useful, though making it fireproof would be more than a good idea if you take it down into the mines...
well in the book the Luggage is indestructible so
Well in that case, they should make Chest Golems indestructible too.
Hire junkboy to redo/revamp the textures, jeb and notch's tiles are terrible. [editline]23rd March 2012[/editline] Also, using a piston to move a block with a torch/other attatchable blocks won't knock it off unless the attatchment hits another block. That would be awesome.
If he makes good graphics, then hey why not?
custom paintings and books aka shit that people have been requesting forever that notch never added for some reason.
