Yes, that. Mannequins would also be cool for putting your armour and weapons on.
I want achievement for building and fishing in an underground fishing pond.
One word: Eels.
Also, aquatic mobs. That is all
Yes, that. Mannequins would also be cool for putting your armour and weapons on.
Should be able to craft "fake" mannequins that move around when you're not looking to scare people. Or maybe just have a type of golem or mob that disguises itself as various objects until it attacks. In all seriousness, I think Minecraft really needs crocodiles for the swamps and sharks for the oceans. Sharks could drop teeth that can be used to create arrows instead of using flint or maybe be used as some kind of brewing ingredient, and crocodiles could drop their meat as a food item. Also, there was mention earlier of having trinkets and such...maybe you could craft rings specifically to enchant them and have a special slot to equip them? Don't know if that's been mentioned before. It would give a use for gold, at least.
Quicksand to spawn in jungle, swamp, and rarely in river biomes. Sinks you like a cobweb, solid like a sand. If kids still think Creepers are scary, wait until the chase is on.
Ice caverns! - Spawn in Snow biomes - They tend to have an ice layer at the top of them which can be seen as frozen lake from above Ground ( Looks Awesome! ) - Re-skinned version of Iron golems could be spawned in there to look like Yeti's Decorational Particles! -Basically just useless little particles, made to look like fireflies at night, butterflies in the day, and black dust in the nether
I like the fireflies idea a lot
Physically existing fish that are attracted to your fishing hook depending on bait, several types with slightly different attributes (ie, crafting with different items for different effects) After all when you think about it cooking is literally alchemy! More advanced food with buffs, eating 'better' food makes the recovered hunger decay slower and eating even better food than that gives buffs - like a hearty-ass mushroom stew made from some kind of special 'deep' mushroom might make you mine faster and have a chance for extra ore, a properly prepared piece of the right kind of fish allows you to breathe underwater for five minutes or more, etc. Also food degrading/decomposing, so keeping a giant stash of good food in advance won't work (but it can be prepared like the day before without any issues) - salted meat and the like would confer no bonuses but degrade very, very slowly (60+ game days), and prepared meals would degrade in roughly 18 hours game time. Use damage for degradation, but don't display the meter (swap out icons as the food gets worse, confer food poisoning from rotten food etc)
Food that gives buffs has been mentioned a thousand times, but I don't think it'll ever become something other than what it is right now. I think the buffs should and will be left with potions. The fishing with lures seems like a bit complicated to fit the style of Minecraft well, as well with food spoiling. Although I do like the idea of having a reason for eating different foods, I think that buffs isn't the way to do it. Maybe eating the same food for too long starts to reduce how filling it becomes, as a sort of "I'm tired of eating this" kind of thing. I also really like the idea of having different fish to catch.
It would be pretty cool with a lot of variations in textures. And not just for planks, for everything. Furnaces with diffrent vent, openings and hatches. Dirt with lots of pebbles and cracks. Bark with a little hole, like this And maybe it could serve some kind of usefulness. Like furnaces with diffrent vents smelt things faster. Or, theres a chance to find flint in dirt with pebbles. Kinda like "enchantments". And to get them you have to be lucky when you craft it, or when you find it. I think it would add a lot more life to minecraft as it is now.
People would just destroy and place their furnaces until they got the one they wanted.
People would just destroy and place their furnaces until they got the one they wanted.
I'd imagine that when you started up the game, it would "roll the dice" and pick which type would be crafted next. As soon as you crafted it, it would roll the dice again, and pick a different vent type randomly. So you'd have to craft a whole ton of furnaces before you go exactly the one you wanted.

Why would you say to yourself, "Hey I'm going to always build shitty furnaces, but sometimes I'll create one of a better design instead, but then go back to the shitty ones again" I understand what you're suggesting but the logic behind it is a little bit.. Strange.

Also if they add it like that, it opens up to new possibilities, like a Mystery Bag, that when crafted gives you a random item.

I still cling to the hope that is Minecraft's Survival mode actually becoming challenging.

It isn't much of an idea, but do most people share the sentiment that minecraft needs to be made longer? As it stands I can find diamonds in minutes, reach the end in hours. Compared to most game, I think it would add much more to the game to have new tiers of items. (I suppose enchantments help to do that though)

The game is piss easy as it is, and no matter how rare you make diamonds, it's not hard to get them, just time consuming. The game needs to be much harder. More inventive and intelligent mobs with tactics and AI that actually makes them smarter than "pathfinding", realistically working items and weapons and a much more intuitive combat system. Make survival actually involve survival, with elements like disease, food poisoning, heat, cold, and complex crafting. Terra Firma is a step in the right direction, but even it isn't difficult enough.

Press I, l, f, and Q to move forward one block.

Kind of silly how you can live inside of a 3x1x1 area to escape the night. It would give a purpose to making a chimney, at least, and it would give glowstone an actual usage over torches besides aesthetics. Perhaps just make it so it only applies to extremely small areas (5x5x5 or smaller with no exits) for gameplay purposes so you can't live in a box.
Yes, they have to all be held at the same time and I and Q have to be capitalized and l and f have to be lowercase in order for it to work.
QWOPcraft?

Would also be fun trying to escape floods/tornado's with friends :L
It doesn't make sense that you'd decide to craft something better from the same materials, sometimes, but not always.
I think it does. I mean, sometimes you just do something better than you thought you could, like a drawing. And when you try to draw it the same way again, you don't always succeed and it doesn't look as good. When you do anything crafty, you always encounter that you've made something better than you thought you could, and its not intentional.

Iron Bands (or bracelets) that can be enchanted. Their effects are in effect as long as they're equipped in your hotbar. These provide more mundane, player-based enchantments, such as "Saturation," reduces hunger consumption rate. But some enchantments give Bands a time-limit on their use, and some Bands can recharge this use of not being in use. "One" would render you invisible, rapidly decreasing the use of it before breaking, recharge by placing in your inventory. "Fire Resistance" would recharge as long as you're not in fire.

Minecraft Creative is about creativity and building. Minecraft Survival is about, you guessed it, surviving. Just because it proves to be very easy, doesn't mean it's about building, it just means they haven't done a good job of making Minecraft challenging. If Minecraft was merely about creativity, they wouldn't have added hunger, enchantments, potions, The Nether, or anything. Really, if what you say is true, everyone would be playing Minecraft Creative right? Well, that's dead wrong. People usually play Minecraft Survival, and if the game was only Creative Mode, not nearly as many people would play it. Minecraft is not just about building. It's about exploration, fighting, surviving and so much more. The bad thing is that because of Notch's lack luster game design, there is very little content in any of those branches of gameplay. Honestly, the game would be awful if there were "no diamonds or ores" and it's pretty damn clear that adding a bit more challenge and realism to Minecraft is desperately needed. Just because the game lacks realism and challenge now, doesn't mean it wouldn't be more fun with it.
