No System Shock 2, Descent/Freespace or OFP/ArmA. Dogshit list.
"This list doesn't have games that I like, therefor it's unworthy of existing."
Super Smash Bros Melee is not better than Chrono Trigger. Also, why no Grim Fandango?
Skyrim no.19 Baldurs Gate 2 no.48 all my rage
To be honest, r/gaming isn't exactly a bastion of in-depth discussion or anything like that, but smaller sub-reddits such as http://www.reddit.com/r/Games/ and http://www.reddit.com/r/truegaming do tend to have some very interesting discussions.
hl2 better than hl1 wtf it doesn't even make sense becouse there where made in diferent times
I don't understand the way reddit structures its comments.
These lists would be a lot more reasonable if you could place an entire series in one spot, so like TES and GTA and so on.
Where the fuck is Big Rigs Over the Road Racing? bullshit list.
"This list doesn't have games that I like, therefor it's unworthy of existing."
Descent was a revolutionary game, it deserves to be on there whether you like it or not
I hate lists of anything. They are completely opinion based, yet they're presented as fact every time. It's like they're fishing for rage.
why no soldner??
I love that you just tried to make your subjective opinion objective by saying, as if it was all matter of fact, that it is, for certain, not as much of a masterpiece as people think. Not only are you treating your opinion like fact (douche) but you're saying that other people's opinions of it are just plain wrong (bag)
I am sincerely sorry. I did not mean to come across that way.
GUYS! What would you expect from a place that has content like this: http://i.imgur.com/ugirv.jpg
Also, battlefield 3 but no BF1942 or BF2? 1942 was amazing for the simple fact that it had 64 player warfare when it came out.
stop reading when i saw starcraft 2 was in 7th and warcraft 3 was nowhere to be seen
Thought Street Fighter would be on for sure, atleast SF2. [editline]13th July 2012[/editline]
stop reading when i saw starcraft 2 was in 7th and warcraft 3 was nowhere to be seen
13. WarCraft III
How did they judge "best", I wonder? Just gameplay, or did they include art direction and stuff?

Heroes of Newerth gets a spot but not Street Fighter, wow...
r/gaming is the equivalence of /b/
Why is minecraft on there?
Probably because it's a fun game and has like, millions of fans.
Where's Bonetown? Shit list
I love Half Life 2, and it is my favorite game, but I somehow disagree with it being the best game ever. The list also lacks console games, so it's totally bullshit.
Why is Fallout 3 48 spaces above New Vegas, and Fallout 2 at 97? It should be the other way around, and most Fallout fans would probably agree. Fallout 3 isn't a bad game, before we start that argument, but New Vegas is simply better overall, and Fallout 2 is arguably better than New Vegas. And where's the first one, it definitely deserves to be SOMEWHERE in the top 100.
But Fallout 3 was first, and Bethesda put in a lot more work on the engine and well, everything.
mirror's edge was terrible
There are opinions and there are facts. You're wrong.
The list also lacks console games, so it's totally bullshit.
3 of the top 10 were console/handheld exclusives I thought it was a decent list, although it was far too focused on newer games.
The places I disagree with most (and of course, this is purely my opinion): Half Life 2 (Massively overrated, needs to be much further down. Was still a good game though.) Portal 2 (Wasn't that amazing) Team Fortress 2 (I think it should be a bit higher, even though Im not so much of a fan of it nowadays) Fallout 3 Fallout New Vegas (better than FO3) Rome Total War (Should be higher, and should be joined by other Total War games like Medieval and Empire) Deus Ex Human Revoloution (Should be higher) Battlefield 3 (Should not be on the list altogether) There is a disturbing lack of Real Time Strategy on the list in general as well. The only ones that really stick out are Warcraft 3, Starcraft 1&2 and Rome.
No/hardly any 4X Games. Not really surprised.
What a perfectly predictable list filled with 'known' great games and nothing more.
I would've gone with more revolutionary games but that's, like, my opinion.
