That system DOES NOT work (the one being used now). All they do is censor it (even slightly) and release it under the highest available rating, which ruins the game and doesn't really decrease the violence much.
also some companies don't even fucking bother "fixing" it because the board are a bunch of pussies. case in point Aliens vs Predator (rebellion were about to say "fuck it" and not release it, board then put it into an ma15+.), Modern Warfare 2 (was given 17+ ratings elsewhere)
is it banned in germany?
Yes, Dead Rising 1&2 too

M rated games are some of the best sellers in America now, and taking those games away or censoring them violates free speech. That shit ain't happening. And in case you forgot, Nintendo is Japanese, so the Japanese company got to decide if it was censored in the U.S.

Don't forget that the company heads decide on it's policy, no matter what country they're selling their games in. One of the only reasons Sega was a rival to Nintendo was because Sega (An American company) embraced more violent games.

Refused classification due to relentless gory violence. l4d is so hardcore it can only be described as having relentless gory violence
"Notice: This game does not support Windows 7." I shed a tear.
There is Vista/7 fix somewhere.
Why don't you just use a VPN to buy banned and censored-in-your-country games?
