http://obliviononline.com/ That's the official website for Oblivion Online. This one release was supposed to come out quite some time ago, but they say they're still working on it so it should be fine.
If Elder Scrolls was an MMO, then everyone would be in Daedric armor and using Umbra and killing you as soon as you log on, and all these guys would take over when they kill all the gaurds.
I would rather have them make more single player Elder Scrolls games because sometimes I just want to play an immerse RPG that doesn't have retards spamming and quests that need groups, etc. Elder Scrolls is one of the few good single player RPGs out there, and making it go MMO would ruin that (not saying it'll be a bad MMO).
Why not Oblivion with multiplayer? (and TONS of fixes and a better game engine of course)
Not an MMO but maybe like 4 players online. That would be neat.

There's already a billion fantasy MMOs. The Elder Scrolls would never beat WoW because people have a freaky obsession with it.

i think i can be a big game.. as you can see all the (old) games like warcraft could do.. so why not elder scrolls?? AoC has no older games
If made right, it could become actually good, but I doubt anyone could execute it right.
No bullshit here my friend Let me introduce you to Morrowind online http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?id=5331&view=Mods.Detail You may kiss my feet
Stop getting yourself banned longears. >:|
*snippity*
Well I'd sure play it but *cough**cough* Sorry, got a bit of a cold. I was gonna say that it probably wouldn't work, as it would be too large and probably not balanced.
TES would be horrifyingly bad as an mmo, unless it was drastically changed. With a certain formula of equipment you can become literally invincible, that would be loads of fun online. I can see co-op being fun though.
Looks like fucking Northrend..
This was concieved far before northrend was even pitched to blizzard staff, I'm sure.
Looks like fucking Northrend..
Just sucks this map is older than northrend(Didn't the first elder scrolls come out before warcraft 3?)
Wouldn't work. The Elder Scrolls are supposed to be played alone.
Not an MMO but maybe like 4 players online. That would be neat.
I'd love 6 player online. 4 seems too little, 6 epic warriors taking on a city.
Agh.
Yes, I feel the burn too, brother.
is it just me or is this confirmed now?..
An Elder Scrolls MMO would be good and bad. Good because TES is a good game, but TES is meant to be based solely around the one characters adventure and experiences, it just wouldn't work with 10,000 people being the "one" and saving Cyrodill.
I don't want a mmo, I want online coop.
I don't want a mmo, I want online coop.
Exactly. Just me and a few friends should do it.
I'd play an Oblivion-esque MMO, but it'll never happen, Hell I'd take a new Elder Scrolls game with just the ability to Hamachi with a couple friends
The best way Bethesda could do this is by having alot of servers that can only have about 500 people on at once.
Would be so awesome if they added the right animations and some extra's.. But there should be a normal public server and the ability to make one to play with friends only. It would also be awesome to go somewhere else than cyrodiil!
Hell yeah Cyrodill!
http://www.zenimaxonline.com/ There you go, it may only be speculation but it is a division of Bethesda Softworks so you can decide....
Elderscrolls games have been strictly singleplayer since the first one. But I'd still love to play a "World of Tamriel"
Stop getting yourself banned longears. >:|
I'd play the fuck out of it. [editline]09:58AM[/editline] Eh..My bad, didn't meant to reply you.
