My friends are all over it right now, might try it out this week.
When I saw the title I was like "Is that a second C&C Renegade or something?" Entered the thread and felt disappointed before reading the description in the link and gasping violently. I have UT3 so I'll totally get this on release!

In other words, fuck it.
It'll be out when it's out, releases like this tend to take pretty long as they have to iron out any last second things and then upload the file to websites and such.
I liked Renegade when I was young, but now it just seems too fast paced. I prefer slow paced games with cover and shit. Nostalgiad' tho, really liked it.
Blast from the past. Will download this when its released.
Oh damn, I completely forgot about this thread
anyway gonna answer this stupid question
I don't see why, the way you worded the OP it sounded like he didn't know what Renegade is.
And thanks for the boxes I can't get enough of them, I treat them as agrees because you know I'm right.
do you even know what Renegade is
No I didn't
and yes I do
can't wait for it, 2 hours to go :3:
Aw, thought it was supposed to be out by now.
Fileplanet has it up.
You'll have to wait in line though, only about 10 minutes for each mirror.

Damnit, guess I'll still wait in line then.
So, I spend an hour waiting for fileplanet's shitty speed download to finish, install it, and find out I can't even play because the menu's a bug-ridden crapfest.
The included server browser doesn't work and the game filter still shows vanilla UT3 servers, making it near impossible to find the (one populated, with one player) server you want to play in.
Not to mention I had to start the game 4 times because the first 3 the menu crapped out and dropped to 4FPS. :downs:
Yeah, this release was a fucking failure.
Why did they even release it? You have to use a third party server browser to actually see the RenX servers and that basically cripples the game because UT3 isn't meant for it.
Not to mention that the installer doesn't even add a shortcut to the mod on the desktop.
Whatever... I'm done with the mod until they get squared away a bit more.
But, here's mirrors for the download for anyone that dares try it:

And then there's the fact that everything on the interface bar the main menu background uses the default texture, AKA: They haven't packed shit they should've.
Alright, I take back everything I said.
I finally got into a game with about 30 people and had a fucking great time.
God damn, it really is just Renegade with prettier graphics and that isn't a bad thing at all.
I redownloaded the mod from Filefront, reinstalled, applied a server browser patch, rebooted my machine, and it works beautifully now.
It just takes a minute or two to get into a game but I'm patient.
I only wish they kept the retextured link gun beam for the repair gun, looks so amateurish with the static crappy looking beam from Renegade.

I must agree with you. It really feels like they did a great job bringing good ol' Renegade back to life! Now all we need is a little bit more of everything and it will be perfect.
Wow the graphics and level design of this mod is that of professionals, it's like i'm playing the remake of Renegade, EA need to hire these guys.
Looks very polished, now on my to get list.
I'm downloading it as we speak, here's to hopefully an amazing mod!
So.. How do you make it work on the steam version of UT3?
Nevermind, got it working but the menu is useless after putting up the graphics. It refuses to select anything in the menu now :v:.
I prefer C&C renegade to CSS or TF2...put together. I think it is the ONLY perfect shooting game in the way of gameplay. They got all the numbers right. The ramjet headshots, character hp. It was all so perfect. I try to play it at least once a day.
