I rarely had emissions in my OL, if so I only had them once every week. Yes zombies come in and rape EVERYTHING
:ohdear: Anyways, am I the only one who gets like 0.5 fps in the bar area after coming back from the freedom base?
I'm still crashing after giving Sidorovich the thumb drive. Anybody care to help me out here? It's a simple CTD, no messages.
I get terrible fps in the military bases, and somewhat less in the bar area, but those are still the most laggy areas for me. I've only seen two of the new mutants, and only one of each. I fought a chimera in the Cordon and a burer in the agroprom underground. So far, I'm at the military bases, but I have yet to visit X18. What gives?

I think LURK sucks only because it's constantly raining and you can sleep for 68 hours and still never see daylight.
I think LURK sucks only because it's constantly raining and you can sleep for 68 hours and still never see daylight.
I've never had an issue with the sleeping thing. As soon as it gets dark, I sleep for 9-18 hours and its day.
I think LURK sucks only because it's constantly raining and you can sleep for 68 hours and still never see daylight.
It hasn't rained for me at all yet. I've only seen overcast and sunshine. As for the eternal night glitch, check the time in your PDA/inventory. When it's past 06:00 or so, save, then load that save. Then it should be morning. So, if you save at 12:00 and load, then it should be noon. The time fixes itself with saving/loading, but still, it needs a permanent solution.

Sunshine so far, I sleep through bad weather.
Haven't had a bit of sunshine yet :(
Well i guess its gonna take a while to download LURK, someone should make a gameplay video of it and post it here.
Well i guess its gonna take a while to download LURK, someone should make a gameplay video of it and post it here.
I'll try and get one in, any particular location you want to see?
What will 1.0 have? Will it add any new features missing from 0.9? Will it optimize it more?
At least LURK is waay more optimized than SMP. What you can do now is disable SSAO and parrallax mapping by going into the Sky4CE config file and commenting out the lines.
I'll try and get one in, any particular location you want to see?
Garbage would be nice. Love that zone, don't know why.
I'll get to work.
I'll get to work.
Thanks
For anybody wondering, sunbeams work. Pretty well, too, but not as good or as defined as in Clear Sky. (There's some graphical errors involved with it, you'll see it for yourself if you give it a whirl.)

It seems that in LURK when you shoot NPCs they go into the incapacitated mode more often. Which is good because I like going up to them and knifing them in the face. :v:
Thanks for trying it out. How much of an FPS drop can we expect?
Not as big a drop as from SSAO or parallax mapping, but it's noticeable.
Not as big a drop as from SSAO or parallax mapping, but it's noticeable.
Which one of those would you consider more important? As in which has a more noticeable effect.
Is there a mod that gets rid of the head bobbing when you walk in LURK? It is no way close to being anything realistic, but extremely annoying.
How do I enable them?
Go to this folder in your STALKER directory. \gamedata\shaders\r2 Near the bottom, there's a file called SkyGRAPHICS_options.cfg. Open that with the notepad. There should be something like this near the top.
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// //FX control //#define IMPROVED_MBLUR // Enable/Disable Motion Blur #define DEPTH_OF_FIELD // Enable/Disable Depth Of Field //#define PARALLAX_OCCLUSION // Enable/Disable Parallax Occlusion Mapping //#define SSAO // Enable/Disable Screen Space Ambient Occlusion //#define SUN_SHAFTS // Enable/Disable Sun Shafts (god rays) //#define USE_F32 // Enable/Disable Float32 mod //
Remove the slashes before the sun shafts line, so it looks like this
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// //FX control //#define IMPROVED_MBLUR // Enable/Disable Motion Blur #define DEPTH_OF_FIELD // Enable/Disable Depth Of Field //#define PARALLAX_OCCLUSION // Enable/Disable Parallax Occlusion Mapping //#define SSAO // Enable/Disable Screen Space Ambient Occlusion #define SUN_SHAFTS // Enable/Disable Sun Shafts (god rays) //#define USE_F32 // Enable/Disable Float32 mod //
[editline]08:28PM[/editline]
Which one of those would you consider more important? As in which has a more noticeable effect.
I didn't go too deep into testing it, since I was having massive performance issues, so I disabled both parallax mapping and SSAO. In my opinion, though, SSAO is probably the way to go, since the parallax mapping just makes everything spikey, and sunshafts are barely noticeable. I'm downloading LURK right now. It works with Oblivion Lost right?
Download this - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4AZDH0WA and this http://filesmelt.com/downloader/somefaggots_fixes_v3.rar Apply the second over the first.
I'm downloading LURK right now. It works with Oblivion Lost right?
I don't think so
I'm downloading LURK right now. It works with Oblivion Lost right?
No. :downs:
No. :downs:
Thank you.
Well scratch that. There are some posts on /v/ that say someone's got them both working. [editline]10:41PM[/editline] But still, Combining OL with LURK defeats the purpose of both.
