Does anyone know a way to make a few quick rubles in vanilla SoC? I want to buy some military type armour for 24000 rubles, there's some specially made stalker stuff but it says it's rubbish, despite costing over twice as much o_O

I'm very confused about LURK, it's a mod for SHoC right? I think I found the [url=http://www.moddb.com/mods/lurk]page[/url] for it, but it seems it hasn't been released yet. Am I missing something here?

I can testify that LURK is great, and (with the application of the patches and fixes) mostly crash-free. Some things still need fixing, notably that some stalkers will forget to eat and get incapacitated by their hunger, and that using the sleeping bag can result in it still looking like the dead of night at 7AM until you load a save. Despite its beta-ness though, LURK is the best STALKER mod I've played to date. Oh, and the visuals are fucking incredible. Complete 2009 can't even compare to the kind of atmosphere LURK's graphical/weather addons provide. Stealth is fun too!

Does it boost the requirements to play significantly? I don't have the most powerful computer around.

Stealth is fun too![/QUOTE] Where most mods up the color contrast, lurk seems to make everything so much more bleak. At first I though my white balance was off. The weapon balancing is much better than that of OL. The change in prices and the fact that many things are available from the start (if you have the money) makes the start of the game a whole lot less tedious. Stealth might be a little bit overdone to the point where the AI seems a bit stupid, but it allows you to actually avoid confrontation. In my opinion, I'd rather have a little stupid AI then pinpoint accurate, heat-detecting, sensing machines. I killed the Duty guys blocking the entrance to the bar area, because I didn't want to pay the 6800RU to get in, and now I'm attacked on sight in the bar area. Is there any way I can get them to not hate me?
