Just like Medieval 2, generals in same armor. If that's what you're saying o.O?
Oh that. :downs:
Edit:
Wait... I think general units have the same skin/model but different colours. Unique troops like grenadiers and skirmishers will look different for each faction I'm guessing.
this is coming out way too early. i'm still busy with Medieval 2 i will have a total war overload come march :(
I think I am going to preorder the TW pack.
Also, I went to this website called totalwarforums, and some people thought of ww2 total war or shogun total war 2. What do you guys think?
am slow but is there a demo out?

Sadly, no. At least not yet.

It couldn't have come at a better time. I've been longing for a game like this.
Mother fucking going to rape Europe and America with my British armies.

There's already a Shogun: Total War
WWII wouldn't work well with Total War
Please no, leave WW2 out of Total War.
However, if they were to actually end up making a WW2 one, it would be nice to see WW1. They'd have to add another dimension to everything which would be the air.
Would be quite the task.
WW1 would be good. WW2, bad.
WW1 and 2 world map strategy is already covered by Hearts Of Iron
Make the next one be Napoleon to WW1.
Trains, steel navy, and repeater rifles
aviation battles?
aviation battles?
you can't really do those.
You could, when inactive, they just circle around. Deployed on ground and have to take off. Flying in formation and fighting pretty much the same as a small ship might fight a large ship in Empire.
Or like in War leaders, you deploy them and they take time to come in.
You should try the demo, it is in french but you can easily understand it if you know what you're doing.
Total War's huge battles formula works until the demise of formation based warfare. (The Franco Prussian War I think). After that you have to deal with cover, suppression and what-not and it'll make managing your army to complex.
Company of Heroes does cover well.
Company of Heroes does cover well.
No it does not, every time I send my units into cover and a enemy appears they run out of cover like retards and start chasing the fleeing enemies..
Company of Heroes/Dawn of War 2 needs those commands from DoW 1 that made everyone stay the fuck still.

Get the Battle of the Bulge mod, more realism and MGs will cut down anyone not in heavy cover.

You are doing something wrong then, my guys stay in cover and shoot too.
Whens the demo coming out?
demo por favor
Company of Heroes does cover well.
CoH only focuses on small unit action and not on thousands of men shooting at each other. Controlling all of them would be a nightmare.

Airplanes fly in a 3d space how would you control that.
every airplane is different and every pilot is different. It's impossible to model an RTS based air combat game.
:(
I thought it will be cool.

Air combat in Supreme Commander was pretty good.
WW1 would be good. WW2, bad.
No. Oh my god, the battles would be horrible.
Fire artillery.
Rush over the top.
Die.
Take cover from enemy artillery.
Slaughter charging enemy.
Rinse and repeat.
