There's already a Shogun: Total War
WWII wouldn't work well with Total War
Don't you get it? There is a medieval total war, and there is a medieval total war 2!
I mean a new game, with improved graphics, like medieval total war 2!
you can't really do those.
Maybe you can make it like World in conflict? Have the planes as airstrikes.
WHat the fuck why is there an "Elite Units" pack? It costs 20€ more!
No it does not, every time I send my units into cover and a enemy appears they run out of cover like retards and start chasing the fleeing enemies..
Company of Heroes/Dawn of War 2 needs those commands from DoW 1 that made everyone stay the fuck still.
You are definitely doing it wrong.
My men always stay put.
Is it true that Russia is a playable faction?
If so, I'm sooooo there!
Hehehehe.
Yes of course they are.
Get the Battle of the Bulge mod, more realism and MGs will cut down anyone not in heavy cover.
I was gonna get that but i'm not sure if you need Opposing Fronts or not since i don't have it. :/
WHat the fuck why is there an "Elite Units" pack? It costs 20€ more!
Just standard Steam stupidity. Get the CE instead. It has the Rado Javor art book.
I want the demo.
CoH only focuses on small unit action and not on thousands of men shooting at each other. Controlling all of them would be a nightmare.
It doesn't matter because when the time came along that armies fought battles in urban areas and used cover, large forces rarely fought each other.
Looking forward to steam rolling America. :)
you are really going to show that AI who's boss
Is there a demo?
you are really going to show that AI who's boss
Unless ofcourse he plays multiplayer grand campaign, and steam rolls through america.
I was gonna get that but i'm not sure if you need Opposing Fronts or not since i don't have it. :/
You do unfortunately, because axis and allies sre completly redone with expansion units and custom ones. My Gold Edition with both was only 29.99, and on the shelf beside it OF was only 9.99 at EB games.
Edit: Or use STEAM.
you are really going to show that AI who's boss
Well, duh. Play it on easy and steam roll America.
It doesn't matter because when the time came along that armies fought battles in urban areas and used cover, large forces rarely fought each other.
Then it wouldn't be Total War now, wouldn't it?
The major feature of all Total War games is always the massive battles that involved thousands of individually rendered soldiers.
Otherwise, go play Hearts of Iron and every battle you fight, fight it in a seperate CoH game.
The first thing i'm going to do is "free" all of South/North America as the USA, then bitch slap Britiain and turn it into a giant penal colony.. like Australia was.. :D
Make sure you choose exterminate population in every Quebec city once you've captured them

The forces of His Majesty will put up a tenacious fight against your rebel horde.
I am ashamed to say it but I mostly let the AI fight the battles for me in Mediebal 2..
I am ashamed to say it but I mostly let the AI fight the battles for me in Mediebal 2..
I used to do that too! But this time round, things are different. Definitely not just going straight to the "Auto-Resolve" button.
Yea, the sea fights will be awesome.
Are you buying on Steam?
You betcha!
Probably going to buy the elite units one because I can.
I am ashamed to say it but I mostly let the AI fight the battles for me in Mediebal 2..
I did that too.
But in Rome when I played as Britannia I did normal battles, because otherwise you'd fail horrible against the over-powered Romans.
Hmm, I only started using auto battles towards the end of a campaign in RTW. Does anyone else notice the VAST increase in casualties to both sides when you play a fight yourself? Whenever I take control of my army, many many people die... If the A.I. does it then about 3/4 less people die...
That's true. That's the reason why I almost never did it myself. And because it takes SO much time to do anything when you are batteling yourself.
In Rome is was the opposite the AI always made me take more casualties then if I was controling the battle, I still clicked the auto-resolve button though.
The AI almost always lost for me so I always did everything myself.

I've found the exact opposite is true. Unless I play the battle myself and babysit my forces to minimize casualties, the AI always wastes a shitload of men every battle. Even if you win it's a bittersweet victory at best because now you're missing an unnecessarily huge chunk of your army.
The only times I autoresolve are when I'm sieging a city with the odds highly stacked on my side or, in the case of a field battle, when I'm just mopping up small armies in my lands.
its best when you have 1/4 the amount of men the enemy has so you can just focus on killing as many of them as you can in a glorious death
