We all know Steam cannot handle major releases for shit. Every time a major game with a whole load of pre-orders or just people buying it on release, or activating retail copies...
Steam servers brick it. A few thousand people get the usual download speed, some more get painfully slow download speeds and the others can't get any download speed whatsoever.
I would imagine the demo will be like this, considering it's only through Steam.

How the hell do you expect Steam, or anybody else for that matter, to handle the traffic?
I haven't had any problems when downloading games shortly after its release or unlock. Considering the amount of traffic they get on such occasions.

Mine was downloading at around 600 kb/s but it has steadily dropped to around 250. Maybe because of all the downloaders.
