Also what campaign did you chose? Prestige looks awesome.
I'm stuck downloading... But the speed is fairly fast 1.1 MB/s and my status is currently at 9%.

Playing as England, I'm going to head to India just after I take some more of America, but I seriously hate working under a 200 turn limit.

Well fuck, i try to install it and it says: Restart steam and try again.
I don't know I like the old one but I played the demo now and I must say it feels a bit awkward. And there were a few bugs with animations and the loading is horrible. However this is a demo. Although I like the sea battles so great :D. How is it then guys?
my game keeps crashing =( played for about an hour the first time, now its getting shorter and shorted between crashes. My pc is really good too, shouldn't be a problem there, anyone else having problems with memory leaks?

It only tells me to restart steam when i start installing.
I have no idea how much more of the full % is left, but I left it overnight and it cut out between 4am and 7am, then over the day and it cut out sometime quickly in the morning.
Steam servers are STILL busy, looks like they'll need to be posting more of those job openings about release engineers so their servers... [I]Work[/I] when they are most needed.
Seems I must be in the late 80s or 90s, 1% already after 2 minutes at 100kb/s.

I'm playing as Marathas, I have united India and nearly killed off the Mughals, also I'm trading like crazy with Europe, thay like my tea a lot it seems (I'm swimming in money).
The United Provinces are allies, just gift them a toroughbred horse and they will like you.
Sadly it seems that the Spaniards don't like me at all, and the British (those which I trade the most) are starting to threaten me and asking money...
Oh and the Portugese are dead, just swarmed them as soon as I had an army, they had too much to do in Europe to come for revenge, and now somebody killed them off.
Also, I choose world domination, I like big campaigns.

As for modding, it looks that it's not as simple as it has been, but the devs have said full well that it's possible and they expect it to happen within a week anyway so all is good.
It's funny. I left pre-ordering for months on end because I knew just this would happen, volatile servers and slow downloads. But no, I just had to be tempted in with Rome, a game I'd always wanted to play and, well... Now that I think about Steam prices, it wasn't really free. Empire was really £30 and Rome was the usual £10 it is on Steam. It was all a clever ruse to make us buy a package!
