Well, if your army is at a port, then you got cornered and got nowhere to run, also boarding a ship with a whole army is no easy task, it takes quite a while, especially if you have cannons and horses. So I think that before you had time to get onboard you'd be attacked by the opposing army.
Yeah but usually they're not right on a port. There was also friendly region in Germany to flee into.
Ok I finished the american campaign, in the end, all the brits had were their ships but the damn redskins cherokee and hurons declared war and started destroying my shit with guerilla tactics.

Well, I'll be able to push the Persians back when my armies get there, but until then they are a real pain in the ass.
And the territories around the British colony are heavily fortified.

Research 'Rank Fire', from then on, you should be able to handle 1:1 battles quite well on the battlefield.
Also, I wish the AI would stop reforming, it disrupts the fire sequences and they just stand there waiting for the front rank to load while the 2nd and 3rd are already loaded. FFffff

Also Sweden is really interesting to play. Finnland has problems with food and I declared war on Denmark which cause Russia and Poland to join, I have no allies. Kurland knows that I am up to something, they positioned an army on the only bridge that leads me to them.

Is it just me, or do the battles against the AI (not in grandcampaign) seriously lack options? We can't choose lesser factions to play with, we can't choose forts (there are maps with fixed forts on them) and we can't choose the amount of money (only medium or high)...
Mods are the answer or perhaps if people send in enough complaints, it will be included in the upcoming patch.
Ok now it gets sad, I get crashes about every half an hour now.
How long is a turn in the campaign?
Just wondering, would the VAC block you if you use a trainer? I gets annoying for me to spend so much time in regards to the early parts of the campaign.
The lack of mass drafting and mass conscription means I can't even have use a desperate means of survival.
VAC is only used on Valve games.
