Man I hope for Hot seat co-op, me and my mate want to take europe at the same time. I must say, I can fight ranged battles perfectly well, my victories over the Prussians show that much, but man do I love stomping over technologically inferior nations in this game, so many laughs when they try and make me greet their swords and don't even get within stabbing distance, still, call me a retard when it comes to history, but I arrived in north africa and was met with 8 units of gun wielding civilians, this isn't farcry 2, I don't know, it could be my relative poor knowledge of the region at such a time. Didn't stop me from taking one of their cities, but the Muslims inside won't stop striking and such, I remember this one from medieval 2, gotta get a protestant priest over, I hope secular humanism sorts this out in the long run though.

Can anyone add: Killarfromspace and be my personal advisor? pweeze?

I've taken all that, except i've destroyed Poland too, and i'm working on my navy to get over to Iceland to finish off Denmark. I'm considering destroying Prussia just because they keep demanding East and West Prussia (which I have from Polish conquests) so I want to make the first move. Russia is also kind of annoying because everytime I attack a nearby neighbor they declare war and I have to take one of their cities then request peace by giving it back to them just so I don't have to deal with them. I want to basically just set up a nice Baltic stronghold and then move on to the Americas. Also, why is it that NO ONE will make new trade routes with me? Like the Italian States and Genoa. I've never come in to contact with them and neither of them likes me. Makes no sense at all. Also, the Ottomans. We share a common enemy, and I trade with them, but they will never trade technology nor make an alliance even when we're both fighting against Russia.

Well, it looks like my British campaign is broken. I declared war on the nation who's turn is crashing me and it's not working. Damn it. :( I'll just start over, then.

I trade with the ottomans too. i think they don't ally because of the religion. Also GB is kinda fucked in my game, the french took everything and are blocking their last haven. I forced Prussia into an ally so far but I am not sure how long that will exist, they think I am unfriendly. Russians are doing the guerilla tactic, which sucks, also they massively spy on me, I already killed 5 or six of their agents.

Anyone up for a Facepunch internet game? Land or sea.

In the end it had to give the damn faction Ireland in order to ally with them.

Shite it, my game has come to a halt. Crashes everytime it comes to a certain nation taking their turn. Looking at the forums, a lot of people have the got same error, regardless of what turn, starting nation etc. At least if lots of people are having the same problem, it'll get patched up fast but at the minute I can no longer play my Grand campaign and I can't be arsed to start again and have the possibility of it crashing again. Think I'll just go onto the Road to Independence campaign for the time being to keep me occupied.

Does anyone know any good ways of getting alot of money for a military campaign without cheating/ending in revolt? Also the Ottoman empire are dicks, I'm trading with them and they are raiding my trade routes.

Just won 5 land battles in a row. Nerf morters ;)

Either that or get a few decent ships and raid trade lanes, try to take territories with lots of good natural resources and then trade it etc.

Is this game worth the money when compared to its predecessors?

I think it's infinitely better than Medieval II, and I'm only basing that off of the demos.

[b] HALP [/b] There's no sounds during battles. No gunshots, no cannon shots, and etc. Why?

I saw a soundfix at a torrentside, maybe that helps?

I'm getting extreme lag during sea battles, is anyone else getting this problem? Land battles work perfectly fine at 30+ FPS, and 1v1 sea battles run at a decent 20-30. The 2v2 sea battles are really taking an FPS toll.
