I'm so shit at this, it's overwhelming at first. I'm getting better though. This game is incredible.
Yeah, the game is a grower. I didn't overly enjoy the game to begin with. But now I'm addicted, mostly to the net side of the game.
Swedes are awesome. I played almost non-stop today as Sweden and now control the whole of Eastern Europe, Greece and half of Russia as well as the Middle East. Another thing, I just conquered Malta...don't overlook them, they had a Naval Hospital which builds awesome high tier navy, it's sweet.
I'm playing as Sweden at the moment, but i'm considering starting a Spanish one. I destroyed Poland, Courland, Denmark, and Saxony, and i've taken all but four of Russia's provinces, and enough land to extend down to Greece and get a foothold in the Black Sea. Just had a revolution to Republic, which I don't like due to making it much harder to get decent ministry heads.
Any one got a suggestion for a nation to play after Britain? I always like playing Britain, but I can't help but feel it's easy mode. Rather than fighting for survival, you simply fight to grab hundereds of regions before the clock runs dry.
Half Life 2 in exchange for Empires. I'm happy
I see the word anal in there, is there something else you gave him?
Prussia.
I'm playing as Prussia, pretty good fun.
I wish I had this game....
Have anybody noticed that quicklime shells do very little? At least it seems so...
Yeah I never use quickline.
Anybody else noticed that when sieging an enemy fort, soldiers can become unresponsive and seemingly get stuck on things? Bit buggy imo.
Yeah I never use quickline.
Yeah, I was really looking forward to kill my enemies with chemical warfare, the fact that it kills with great pain made me look forward to it even more. Sadly, they do very little... And, I have noticed that the units both when sieging and defending act a bit strange around walls, especially when defending, they should fix this ASAP. But the ability to place cannons and artillery on the walls is awesome.

A glorious battle, 2v2, at least 2500 men each, we'd just finished the set-up stage and BOOM! Bluescreen, Kernel_stack_onpage_error and my hard drive was gone. It was too epic to handle.

I was expecting them to be amassed on the walls and I was going to have a hard time but for some reason, they deployed their troops right infront of mine and their cannons behind the walls. I slaughtered their troops and their cannons were kind enough to destroy the fort walls for me lol. There's quite a few bugs with this game, I'm starting to notice a few more. Once I was having a real time battle, I told all my troops to run but they were as if walking in cover mode so they were jogging on the spot, getting fatigued but moving very little. Due to this I couldn't position them when the enemy attacked (Also in slowmo running) so it was a long ass fight and both sides took big casualties, rather annoying.
Gah, what is with the game not utilizing dual core? My performance is unbearable at about 10 fps in typical battles. My first core is constantly at 100% while my second is just sleeping at 0 - 3%. I'm on a AMD Athlon 64 4200+ X2 (2.2 ghz). I have to wait for a damn PC upgrade to play this, when i shouldn't have to. Ridiculous. This is the one game that truly needs multi-core support...

Just had an epic battle. My army arrived in east Prussia, having take the western half over two years previously. Having arrived however we discovered that they had been preparing for that time and outnumbered us 2 to 1. My second army was in London and would take nearly a year and a half to reach the city to assist. We besieged the city, knowing full well they would attack well before reinfocements arrived. The prussians attacked the very first chance they got, throwing their full weigh behind the offensive. To my just 13 regiments they had 20. However my choice to besiege rather than attack had unintended bonuses. Because i was on the defensive my army could deploy in front of and to the side of the advancing army. In a master display of flanking manoeuvres I deployed entirely to their left. When they deployed expecting to meet me head on, they were forced to change their angle of attack, removing any chance they had of turning my flank. Now more than 20 regiments met in the space that would normally hold 2. ( that image was take near the end, is why there's more British troops. Also it's quite patriotic what with the flag right there, anyway back to the rambling story... ) With my troops far more experienced, and their numbers counting for little, it was an utter 300 scenario. The 1st through 11th regiments of foot held their ground admirably, and in the end, the Prussian troops cracked and ran. Best battle I have had in any RTS EVER!
Yeah, I love having big line battles in this game and then sneaking my units around the side and outflanking them...quite fun too when they hide behind a wall thinking they're safe so I just go around and set up into a line behind them.

Wow, 2 hours to install that 15GB? Well, I guess it's better than having to download it.
Just 8 hours left...
My game keeps crashing on the loading screen after Act: I of the Road to Independence campaign. Though it's really fun.
