Grouping them into similar speed, manouvarability and formations helps a small bit but it's odd that your AI isn't great yet the enemy AI can destroy you if they wish.

Also, where the hell are savegames kept? Autoresolve for naval battles in the RTI campaign is also useless, 4 6th Rates, 2 Brigs and 2 Sloops Vs 1 Galleon, and I fucking lose?!

And this is on Windows 7, but it should be similar on XP.

Autoresolve is pretty good for me.

FFFFFFFFFFFFF I'm playing the 3rd episode in RTI and I'm getting fucking nowhere, every single turns my famrs etc get raided, my shit gets attacked etc etc. Result = Me not being able to afford an army to actually fucking do anything.

May you post a screenshot? From a little distance away, so that i can draw your strategy.

Is anyone getting a bug where the battle never finishes? I'm scoring crushing defeats but the battle won't end unless i quit or withdraw.

Not really, its a bug.

What the hell. A French sieging force decided to attack my relief army. I go into real-time, run to my fort, defeat 95% of their troops and they only have two infantry units holed up in houses refusing to move. So the time limit runs out and I get a "close defeat".

If anyone need help, or tips. just send me a screenshot in a PM with details. Or just post here. I'll help.

This is the RTI 3rd Episode by the way. Land Battles, unless I'm way outnumbered, I don't have much of a problem with.

Just that i have conquered alot of land close to the coast line. My tip is to ally france (if you haven't) And dont attack anyone, just guard your farms, wait a couple turns and upgrade your farms, etc. After a while you will have a strong income. I did the same, now i have a huge army. Conquered alot of land. And have a whooping income of 15k per turn (6k if you minus for upkeep, not quite sure). And after a while you will have a steady economy, by then you should add alot of line infantry with George washington and conquer the coast lines. [b]Update 1[/b]: Another reason to capture the coastline, is to sever their trade routes which will harm their economy alot. I once defeated 3000 troops with my 1000. Was an epic battle. I don't know about you guys, but I'm doing fucking amazing. My causalities are so small and I've never lost a battle.

Sod it, I'm gonna give myself a hell load of cash and have veritable armies guarding all my places, and I'm gonna start again.
