are there any mods that make the US be playable in 1700, or does the faction unlocker do that too?
Not currently.
Haha, I just took poland in like 3 turns.

when's the game even end?
it'd suck to play as the Americans for only 20~ years and have to quit
How do you review saved replays of matches?
Urg, does anyone know a good way to get people to trade with you? I'm Spain still, and even my very friendly allies won't. I'm hoping a revolution will help, because it'll change gov type to a more popular one, AND it will get rid of my -10 diplomatic relations king Karl.
Yes, King Karl. The second, I believe.
You probably don't have the capacity to trade, you can only have a limited number of trade routes, so expand your empire for more port cities.
Ok this game is awesome, but damn thouse rocketboats are powerful!

1799 normally, for Road to Independence it's 1825 or something like that.
Does the game actually end at 1799 or does it let you play past 1799 if you choose to do so
I'm not sure, I've never actually finished a campaign in a Total War game, closest I got was about 1504 in Medieval II.
I had a great multiplayer battle today. I'd hosted and called it "Land of Hope and Gory" we'd both deployed defensively, he had one unit of cavalry, two rocket units and a whole load of those French royal guards, I had a mixed army mainly consisting of Line Infantry, three cavalry and two howitzers, he saw my defence and ditched his stake fortress, moving to the very limit of his rocket range and took shots at me, I was forced to mess up my careful formation and sent in my cavalry to disrupt the rocket fire, which failed miserably... I then lined all of my infantry up in a massive formation similar to a giant regiment and had them march to the enemy, where they lined up and had a good old fashioned line battle. In the end, they wiped out my forces , leaving just my general's bodyguard and howitzers (Minus horses) and them with 3 of the general's bodyguard, 2 Line Infantry and 1 royal guard thingies. They marched to my original position, where I tore the exhausted and uncertain Frenchies apart and claimed victory for the British using just my bodyguard and the gun crews...

yeah really, I read that only your victory conditions go away at 1799 but it lets you play on, is this true?
good thing this piece of shit won't even start up today! now I will be spared from game breaking CTDs in my campaign!
the steam game launch window will literally flicker on and off within a second and this shit won't start. I tried deleting the clientregistery.blob file, tried playing in offline mode, tried restarting, tried everything and it has the same goddamn problem
this game is really cool but these bugs are game breaking

maybe I dodged a bullet by judging that my comp can't handle the game

I haven't had a single crash.
For me, the campaign map for Road to Independence was really glitchy every now and then, I'm presuming its the GPUs fault. Random flat colored shapes would be appearing, along with characters and environment onscreen would be messed up (Like all the trees would simultaneously move, or something like that). Any clue what caused it?

That sounds more like a graphical problem, your videocard might be fucking up.
Road to independence seems a bit bugged at some points. This one fort had a bug where all units moving in a certain area only moved like 0.0001 miles an hour while the game thinking they are running causing them to be very tired for moving an inch.
And after you defeat the french as british, it all goes to hell. American revolution is so god damn hard. I had my first loss today. The leaning curve goes from easy as hell with the french to fucking ultimate vsing the british.
I haven't had any problems except for one crash, due to a lack of memory, which I fixed.
So far, it's an awesome game. I'm kicking ass in the Grand Campaign with the Brits - just finished booting the Frenchies and Spaniards out of Europe. In all, it is far better and superior than Medieval II.
I really wish you can execute shit monarchs.
Is anyone here having a freezing problem with the campaign? It always locks up in Sweden's turn plasying as Austria.

This would be an awesome thing.
Maybe if you were french it could be a special ability...

Which also gives you a standard issue white flag for your troops.

Their current flag(in-game) is already predominately white. :v:
Damnit, it seems that the longer I progress in the campaign the more crashes I get. If I try to move a large amount of troops from Algeri or if I declare war on the Cherokee Nations my game freezes and I have to press CTRL+ALT+DEL to see the error message...
Any patch on the horizon?
Also the full game seems to play much smoother than the demo for me. I was baffled to find that I could zoom in on infantry/ships on the same settings but have barely any lag.

Yes, this week.
Hopefully it will improve lots of things.
So I just took this Mughali town with two full armies. And then next turn I see 3½ full armies closing in from the enemy territory. For two turns they've just stood there, at the borders. I've also been amassing up my armies, I have about three fulls now led by an excellent general waiting for them. Epic battle ahoy.
