OH SHIT!
I can't believe on the Total War Center there are people that absolutely hate ETW using Steamworks, thinking it's an intruding piece of DRM like SecuROM.

Even though he died in battle at Luetzen in 1632, the army that he created helped Sweden profit from the seemingly endless religious struggles of the Thirty Years War. The nation emerged from that conflict immeasurably stronger in military terms, and able to invade its Baltic neighbours at will. This military power did, however, cost money and Swedish lives. Neither of these commodities is available in abundance, and the prudent stewardship has been necessary too. Charles XI, however, has left an impressive arsenal in place for his son, should he wish to take up the sword; and Charles XII has an obsessive interest in soldiering...

*More info about France :)

France
France has had fifty years of military and administrative excellence under Louis XIV, the Sun King and his servants. They achieved this in spite of a backdrop of strife and rebellion sparked by France’s involvement in the Thirty Years War. Louis and his able ministers, Cardinals Richelieu and Mazarin, were able to steer France away from the feudal struggles that hampered growth, and they created a centralised government where the King’s power is absolute.

This game looks amazing, Total War games are always perfect mixes of grand battles and empire managing.
This game reminds me of Imperial Glory, but better.

The game is set during a time when Sweden was more powerful than Denmark and Norway.
But Denmark used to be stronger than Sweden before.
If I am not mistaken?

You aren't but because our damn ancestors got too gready and taxed Øresund. Sweden (and Holland i think?) got angry and kicked the shit out of us. :denmark:
I'm sad. I bought Red Orchestra on steam a few days ago but I wish I'd bought this instead, then I would have got Rome: Total war for free as well.

Oh, that is a good game. Better than medieval 2 IMO.
I'll play as Sweden, build all my military bases in Finland and just milk the rest of Scandinavia for taxes.
Muahahahahahahaha.
:sigh:
i'll play as england and fucking whoop america, and of course unlock every faction, including rebels, for maximum pirate gameplay

In my opinion, The total war series is one of the only series that I know of, which doesn't get worse for each sequel.
can anyone recommend me any good mods?
Edit:

All Factions mod <- (So you can start as any faction)
I remember a mod I had, it was pretty cool but I don't remember it's name...
The map was 3x, everything was more expensive etc...
I think it was called "The long road".
Thanks
Thanks

It got delayed till march :(
Good, my birthday is in March.
Doesn't matter, so long as they complete it properly and don't leave any bugs in etc.
Besides, who doesn't want the multiplayer campaign they're going to add?
Multiplayer campaign?
What the Jesus, this game just keeps getting better and better.
