I wish that they'd remake Shogun and Rome on the Empires engine.
They should do Shogun first. I never really got into it and they already did the other games in 3D.
I tried Shogun once but the graphics are to much to handle for me. I don't mind old graphics but Shogun is hardcore but I love samurais.
How can some people have problem with the game and some don't?

called "diversity" applies most appearant to humans and computer hardware...
This is also my first total war. I've played tons of other RTS's.
Did the game just update only for me, or was a small patch released? Because it said "Empire has finished downloading", but I don't see any new update news.
Yeah it is downloading now, but there aren't any update news about it.
Believe it's just the hotfix for the European games that got broke after the last patch.
A heavy first rate passing a smaller ship results in a hell of a broadside. It's particularly nice looking because as it passes the ship, it fires the guns not instantly, but from the other side to the other.
I can't wait to get me a new computer.... I'm running this game on medium, I'll imagine that ultra high (or whatever its called) looks simply beautiful :) oh well...
It does. Haha.
Anyway, does anyone know what the screenshot key is and where screenshots are stored?
Also, the naval auto-battle thing is horrible. My one brig defeated seven light sloops once.
Why does this game force me to run it in medium?
I fucking hate politics!
Everybody is either hostile or unfriendly towards my empire.
And I can never buy regions, I offer my entire treasury and tons of tech but they don't accept. So I go to war and annihilate them in one giant blitzkrieg that would be the wet dream of the Wermacht/Hitler. Then after one or two turns when they only have 1 or 2 regions left, I threaten them for peace.
So I have a fleet of 10 2nd raters in the Indian ocean. And now I noticed I can't move them to another theatre from there due to land blocking the way. God DAMN.
Started moving them towards Persia near the coastline.. and then FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUU
i've got the weirdest stuttering on the campaign map but i can run battles at all ultra... anyone else got this?
and (surely said 10000 times but) what faction is the best learn to play faction?

I think the Maratha Conferedate is a really good starter faction.
anybody else have problems with the gentlemen cutscene duels?
Mine stutter like crazy

You can move them trough the white rectangle (Madagascar) in the south-west. From there you can get anywhere.

Ah, thanks.
Also how do I see my recorded battles? I saved a sea battle (using that little camera button in the battlereport) where I blew up like four enemy ships (damn I love when they go boom), but can't seem to find the "watch" button anywhere.
look in multiplayer, for some reason it's there.

Oh, I see. Such a strange place to put it.
Bye the way are there any decent games with 18 century warfare involved, not like EE, which concentrates completely on this age?
The thing I love about larger sea battles is, that no matter how well you try to organize them, they will always end up in a huge, close-distance clusterfuck of sinking, ablaze and exploding ships. And it's hilarious.

Yeah, the ship battles tend to always develop towards chaotic mismanagement of both the forces.
This game sounds and looks so awesome!
I'll buy it tomorrow for sure...
Going to love playing it with my 2 weeks old pc. :3
Intel core2 duo cpu e8500 3.16 Ghz
Radeon HD 4870 x2
8 Gt RAM...

I've noticed a few more graphic glitches scince the patch. All buildings and units would dissapear just leaving their shadows and like the base blocks for cities. Have to save and re-load to fix it. Seen some streching and random textures flying around.
Even had a big bright blue bubble appear over Europe, reminded me off the big Ice shield from Crysis as it was in the winter turn.
