Auto-resolve is boring as hell.
Someone answer this man. My list of saved games is almost never ending. Edit: Oh well, CA should have anticipated this and have included a huge "Delete Save" button. Edit: Yeah, you can tell by checking their relations on the diplomacy menu. I guarantee you that every nation in the Americas will have at least -100 relations due to territorial gain.
Pretty sure it's in Application Data, it takes up a hell of a lot of space too.
Auto-resolve is boring as hell.
Big fat deal, some of us aren't master strategists. It's also a good way to get experience for your troops with minimal losses.
Why did you even buy the game then. =/ Not much strategy is required in this. Just make sure you don't get cut to pieces by Cavalry.
Because it's fun and interests me perhaps?
Because it's fun and interests me perhaps?
If you just click auto-battle then it gets rid of half the game. You don't need to be a master strategist, either.
If you just click auto-battle then it gets rid of half the game. You don't need to be a master strategist, either.
So? I still find the game fun regardless.
If you just click auto-battle then it gets rid of half the game. You don't need to be a master strategist, either.
So I can lose half of my troops in my first battle! Hooray!
So? I still find the game fun regardless.
Then you, sir, are more easily amused than me.
So I can lose half of my troops in my first battle! Hooray!
Do you honestly suck that bad? I mean seriously, the battles (even on the hardest difficulty) are piss easy.
Yes, the battles are around 40% of the game, skipping them all is ruining the game, I only skip the really small ones or the really easy ones.
I mean seriously, the battles (even on the hardest difficulty) are piss easy.
Depends on which battles, certain battles are difficult even on normal, half an army versus 2 full armies aren't really easy (sometimes they are impossible), though they usually are the best. But yes, when you have similar armies anything under hardest is easy, and hardest is what should be called normal. Hardest should be really hard, but it isn't.

But a majority of people probably don't use that period before you click the deploy button to set up lines and such, never made sense to me why you wouldn't.
You should never have the above situation.
Fucking hell, battles are simple. Put your cannons on a hill, your infantry in a line in front of them, skirmishers on the edges to harry the enemy to give you time to deal with them if they try to flank you, cavalry for taking care of flankers and to take out the enemy cannons.
I just downloaded the new version of the Smoke mod, they seem to have added a blood mod.

If you have battles like 1000 vs 100-200 I always autoresolve, the result is clear.
If you have battles like 1000 vs 100-200 I always autoresolve, the result is clear.
But you'll suffer more loses.
I just found the first person camera, another reason for me to love this game, though it would be nice in naval battles if you could view from the captains PoV instead of just those two gunners. I'm sure some people don't know how to use it, you just select a unit and press Insert and you go to a 1st person view. Use the scroll ball to change who you view from. Works best in shooting infantry and artillery, as it slows the game down allot when they fire and the camera follows the cannonball / musket-ball.
Sometimes the big battles are just to time-consuming. Especially when the enemy sends like 5 armies made of 1 unit each to destroy your farms. I just don't want to spend the time to load and finish the battle.

No, when the enemy is heavy outnumbered, I always try to make a tactical battle and I take have more losses, I rather choose the Auto resolve.
How?
Insert Key, above the delete key. It's in the post. EDIT: A note for everybody, each save for the campaign is over 60Mb.
A note for everybody, each save for the campaign is over 60Mb.
..So that's why my disk space has been going down so fast lately.
I just found out that my saves are all together 6GB... Anyway it doesn't matter, because i have a hard drive of 2TB :3 This game is truly one of the best games ever! I have been playing for 2 days now without any crashes or bugs, so i still don't have any complains.

Sometimes i can play a full campaign without problems but sometimes i get a crash at the +/- 30th round
i havent had any crashes, only problem is the Road to Independence doesn't work.
Somehow I can't get into the campaign map, I am confused with everything, it's bit of a change from the previous games.
Somehow I can't get into the campaign map, I am confused with everything, it's bit of a change from the previous games.
Single Player > Grand Campaign > Choose a Nation > Campaign Map Or is it crashing or something?
Insert Key, above the delete key. It's in the post. EDIT: A note for everybody, each save for the campaign is over 60Mb.
Jesus fuck I wondered why I was losing disk space so quickly. Thanks for the heads up.
i havent had any crashes, only problem is the Road to Independence doesn't work.
The reason that Road to Independence doesn't work is if you have a pirated copy. Check the torrent sites, they're full of comments of people who complain that their bootleg won't run RTI.
Why you you pirate this, CA is one of the companies that are more than worthy of your money.
