I preordered this fuck yeah
I'd love to see a modern one of these. That probably wouldn't work too well though. Good on paper, but in practice...
Besides, who doesn't want the multiplayer campaign they're going to add?
me
Why do so many people hate the time period, I'm sick of the same Total war games over and over again, I like this change.

Wait what? Who doesn't like the Napoleonic era? There hasn't been a decent game on it in forever. I've been longing for ages, I can finally fulfil my dreams of keeping America British! Just picturing thousands of red coats ploughing through the rebel scum.
Hopefully there will be the Grenadier guards. :D
One of my Favourite things to do in the Total War series was to have an army of the best units around and have them stand off against a four or six army of peasants. I hope to be doing the same in Empire :D

Is the Australia in it? And do I get my IRONCLAD SHIPS MADE OF SEX AND WIN?
I'll play as Sweden fo sho considering the Swede I already am.
Does Facepunch have a community to play with?
Holy shit! Best news ever. Creative Assembly and Steam are working together on multiplayer! That means, there will be achievements! I'm guessing it's probably why the game got delayed a month. The people at Steam were probably like, "Woah woah wait, this is only 99.01% done, you must touch it up a bit". Also, game is coming out March 3rd. Edit: Also, specs. The minimum system specifications for Empire: Total War are: Operating System: Windows XP 32(service pack 2), Windows Vista 32 OS. Processor: 2.4 GHz Single Core Intel or AMD equivalent processor. System Memory: 1GB RAM (XP) 2GB RAM (Vista). Graphics Card: 256MB DirectX 9.0c compatible video card (shader 2.0 or higher). Sound Card: Directx9.0c compatible sound card. Windows compatible mouse & keyboard. 15 GB free uncompressed hard drive space. That's right, 15 mother fucking gigabytes. Edit: Holy shit, I just realised how much weight this will be on Steam. It's like trying to load a bowling ball down the barrel of a 9mm pistol. Edit: Sorry if I'm over reacting but I haven't been following the progress of ETW lately. Looks like Empire: Total War is living up to my expectations that I'm about to EXPLODE. The only thing is, will be computer be able to handle it? It can handle Medieval 2, what about this. The worrying thing is the naval battles. I'm quite sure the water is going to slow my computer down.
Getting a new PC just for this :v:

Oh jesus christ, this is insane. This game is going to be modded to hell and back. I'm pumped. Also, wow, those minimum specs are really low. That means it could be run with a P4/7600gt. That's INSANELY low specs, especially considering the scale of this game. A 2.4ghz single core processor can play this? That, my friends, is amazing.
Uh Medieval 2 Gold edition is around 18gb isn't it?
In my opinion, The total war series is one of the only series that I know of, which doesn't get worse for each sequel.
Half Life 2 is pretty much better than Half Life 1 in every sense of the word, but I see your point.
I don't understand why? Denmark owned Sweden and Norway, so why only sweden?
The fuck are you talking about? Sweden was a super power on it's own back then.

The real reson why it was delayed was the multiplayer campaign and possible bug fixes/optimization.
I've been massing musketeers in medieval 2, I can't wait.
Considering Dawn of War 2 has been such a disappointment, I can't wait to get this game.
I've been massing musketeers in medieval 2, I can't wait.
Same here! I can not wait to completely take over the US and name it British America. Also, can't wait to have massive armies of red coats and horse charges into the rebel scum.
Steamworks is old news. The real reson why it was delayed was the multiplayer campaign and possible bug fixes/optimization.
Which is fucking brilliant. As I said earlier, I haven't really been following the development of this so yeah, all this is awesome news.

Then I guess I'm referring to the particular group of people in Valve that work on Steam itself. I'm pretty sure Valve is quite big.
Demo might be released this weekend/next week going by a recent announcement on the official site and the track record of previous TW demo release dates. Speculation says it'll include the Battle of Bunker Hill and a small naval battle.
Pvt. Ryan if you are right then this is gonna be teh awesome.
