Found it, thanks.
Just won America's Independence. Was fun, but the constant droning on about rolling hills and liberty on an American flag backdrop was sorta tiring. Now to recapture America as the British.
New patch out sometime this week.
How do you know a patch is coming this week? Can't find any info about it. :(
I'm still dying for a flat open map.
I can't wait to play this. I have to wait til I get my new computer on thursday( or perhaps a bit longer even when I get it because I'll need to set it up with internet and such.
FUCK THE CHEROKEE ARGH.
Dammit I took Georgia and they came back with thousands of men!

You gotta steamroll them early or they'll do that, I gathered up all my troops you get at the begging, shipped em over there and plowed through them within the first few years.

Criminal scum!
Conquering Great Britain was a bitch, the British had like three full stacks (6,000+ men) surrounding London, I then had to go running around mainland Europe trying to take their last bit of land in Italy.
Fuck yeah, the Indian and American Theatres are MINE.
So did anyone else rename a unit of Greencoats "Sharpe's Rifles" and vet them up in every battle?
So did anyone else rename a unit of Greencoats "Sharpe's Rifles" and vet them up in every battle?
Fuck. Yeah.
Haven't done it yet, but I'm planning on it once I research green jackets.
And here I thought I was the only person who read sharpe books.
How come nobody's bothering to mod this yet? Are they waiting for next patch or is it just hard?
I named my Dragoons ''Awesome Dragoon Strike Force''.

People are trying to mod it, give them time, go check the Total War Center forums, some people have already released some basic mods.

I'm still waiting on a mod that lets me play a campaign as ireland.
I don't know about you guys, but I always have 2 unit cards worth of grenadiers in my armies.
I also have the Grenadier, Coldstream, Scots and two elite guards units representing the Irish and Welsh Guards based in London. Not forgetting two units of light dragoons representing the Life Guards and Blues and Royals. :D
Edit:
I also always have the Grenadier Guards on my extreme right flank and all other elite guards on the extreme left. :D :D :D :D :D
Grenadiers are simply ridiculous. I just distract units with line infantry, flank them with the grenadiers and 3 grenade tosses makes them rout. You'd think they'd run out of those things eventually.

..despite the fact that CA said that it would be easier to mod with many hardcode limits removed.
Maybe they'll eventually release an official SDK in the future with the multiplayer campaign.
If any of you are having CTD problems then check out this thread

don't know if it works as I've not had any problems with crashes yet but check it out
I crashed for the first time now. I closed a battle report (after my Orkel Empire VS Portugal sea battle) from the "ok" button and it died on me. And for some reason selecting armies, especially fleets, has become painfully slow.
Can you rename your empire? Or units for that matter.
And Orkel, I have the same problem, whenever I select a unit card on the map it slows down like hell for a few seconds.

Not sure of the empire name changing, I just like to refer my Maratha C. as something else. Units, yes.
Didn't do that slowdown for me before either. Guess I'll have to wait for a fix now, can't be arsed to continue a campaign which doesn't play well yet and starts to crash.

Best idea. I shall be doing this as soon as I get them!
Got it in my post right now, installing
Fook ya
I crashed for my first time the other day when I declared war on France.

Playing as England?
And man your avatar brings back some memories.

Yup. Just tried again and it did the same. Going to try the fix now and see if it works.
And yeah, fun times. Those dogfights were awesome.
I'm still dying for a flat open map.
I agree. I want a massive open-field battle.
Seems that I can't play this campaign any further, it crashed again on the same turn as before. This time when I selected a minister. R.I.P. my mighty empire, you lasted till the winter of 1744.
