Is that what happens when you go bankrupt?
Edit: Or rather, as Britain, in 1737?
you do NOT want to be bankrupt for more than one turn. I fixed it that game, but im my previous campaign (as brits aswell), not sure of the year but all of my land units had thier population halved... thats right... i didnt know this happened, and went to invade some people, only to find my line squads were 80 men big... not nice...
...
*Sweden
Where the fuck is finland / WINLand
It was a part of the Swedish Empire back then.
Probably.
Edit:
Why do the Austrians have bigger Line Infantry? It's 200 vs the normal 160.
They're troops are more shit.
But they make for a nice bayonet block of shock troopers.
No mods yet that adds Swords & Bows?
What would be the bloody point?
You can get sword and bow units anyway.

I know there are sword units, but bows? What faction?
American Indians and Persians/Martha Confederecy (sp?) and factions like that etc iirc.
American Indians and Persians/Martha Confederecy (sp?) and factions like that etc iirc.
Oh ok, but most of them are not playable, also I don't recall Maratha having bow units, only sword units.
OOoooh, gonna go try it out now.
It should be under 'Early' period right?
Why bows and swords? Play any of the earlier games if you want that. It just takes away what's new in Empires if you add bows and shit.
Oh ok, but most of them are not playable, also I don't recall Maratha having bow units, only sword units.
Ah, it was Mughal Empire not Maratha. Silly me.
I know there are sword units, but bows? What faction?
The American tribes got bowmen.

Go play Medieval or Rome. And if you don't care about graphics, Shogun.
There was the original medieval you know.
I love how after a battle you get stuff like this,
they are at peice now
And the pants were dead.

Or, you know, we might like the time setting of the older games and at the same time love the engine of the new one, they don't have to be mutually exclusive.
I want a Shogun 2 or remake so bad.
Needs more pictures

Well... That's maybe true. But still, seems like a big job to do when there's old games that works just fine.
=(e)=™ Benny: Fuck, their main base is maxed out with troops yo
=(e)=™ Benny: 1487 vs 2556, LETS DO THIS

I love it when bodies are strewn throughout the lands. Especially when you defended a fort/city/whatever against thousands of enemies.... It's intense.
Is it just me or are there no ragdoll physics like they told us we would have.
Well... That's maybe true. But still, seems like a big job to do when there's old games that works just fine.
Maybe not Medieval, but Shogun TW 2 and the Rome series would be awesome redone, imagine the first person camera on a charging hoplite or barbarian unit.
Is it just me or are there no ragdoll physics like they told us we would have.
Cavalry has ragdoll physics I'm not sure about infantry though
Cavalry has ragdoll physics I'm not sure about infantry though
Yes there is, I rushed cavalry against a line of infantry and when they collided one body went flying upwards, and i've seen corpses roll.
That's not ragdoll, though there is physics. Not to mention after a 8000 man battle, keeping up with ragdolls would be a bit of a pain.
