The Indians' cavalry have about the same if not more melee attack strength than most European heavy cavalry, and they cost roughly half the price. That might just be the Hurons though. I don't know if each Indian faction has different units.
Also, anyone else notice the Mughal Empire has a full nation description but isn't playable without that one mod? Apparently, TCA scrapped the production for some reason.

Same for Portugal. That with the half implemented Bribe, Historical Battle and Family Tree systems prove that this game is completely unfinished.

It's a shame that you can't earn steam achievements from the mod manger and if you try to launch the original exe you don't have any shiny mods.

Great. Now I have no world map sounds, E.G select a unit, If I try to uninstall the smoke, guns sfx and the pipes and drums mod, the game doesn't work any more.

You should always back up files before editting them.

Well the smoke, fife drums and sounds mods are mods they don't overwrite anything in the game folder.

I've taken control of the 13 colonies, am slaughtering the Huron confederacy, and recently trounced France. Next in my sights, Spain. Bastard Spanish.
Then I will seek to extend the glory of the British Empire to the Indies.
I've been playing as Westphalia, UP Declared war on me, Hannover stole my city (Amsterdam, they nabbed the siege) so took them over and am now onto a region of France (With Spain as their allies)
Playing as Great Britain, I have alot of money with me since I had no idea what to do in the first turns. I'm at war with the Huron Confederacy, pretty easy but I hate how the last place they own has tons of enemy units.
Can anybody give me tips of what to do when fighting against cavalary with line infantry only? I don't really have much units effective against them.

If you can get a good volley in on them as they charge you'll do fine. Also square formation.

The AI is slightly better on higher difficulties, but for the most part it just gives them better range and accuracy. The best way to improve the AI is to download Quixote's Combat Overhaul and Campaign AI 1.6 mods and play the game on hard difficulty. The AI will be challenging, but Quixote's mods balance the game and improve the AI, so the game's challenging but isn't unfair or unbalanced.

Use the verify integrity thing in the right click Properties. No need to do an annoying reinstall.
The game also gets morale boosts, so even if you tried two identical situations, except one was a player controlled unit and the other AI controlled, the player untis would always break before the AI stuff.
Also the Combat and Campaign AI has been fused into one mod.
I seriously hate the Mughal Empire. I was trying to destroy the Marathas, but apparently, the Mughal faction was designed to be weak. I had 1300 troops vs. 700 Marathas, and I actually lost to the bloody Marathas.
I play as the Marathas, they're badass.
My campaign as the pirates is going pretty well, I have conquered most of South America (I know it's not much, but with only 10 bucaneer swordsmen it ain't easy), then I decided Spain was next, bad idea.
I got to Spain with my fleet, diembarked and immediately got attacked by half a stack. Needless to say the battle did not go well, even though my bucaneers are now rank 5-6 (or something like that), I lost pretty badly. I lost my highest rank regiment, my general and nearly all other regiments were down to 20-50, so I had to retreat.
It's impossible to attack Europe with 10 regiments of swordsmen.
Why the fuck is the game gone from the "My Games" list?
Halp.
I just bought my own copy of Empire: Total War. But when I launch if off steam, I get the loading screen for like 5 seconds and then it whines "Empire: Total War has stopped working".
