the mods right now are a bit 'meh'.
I just ditched Darth's for IS. Pretty good. The smoke and Period music mods for the game are great too.
I quite enjoy doing campaigns with Prussia, and sticking to peaceful methods.

Anyone give me a list of good mods?
Anyone give me a list of good mods?
I don't know how good they are, but these are the ones I'm using: -Drums&Fifes mod -Smoke mod (FPS eater) -Tracers removal mod -That mod that unlocks all faction for the grand campaign -Custom load screen RayvenQ made a post some pages ago were he linked to a index of all mods.
Imperial Splendor or Darthmod.
I use Imperial Splendour, it's quite good and often updated.
Both are often updated (1-2 times a day sometimes!). IS seems better made and harder.
Any tips for a newbie. I just got the game and am finding it quite a bit challenging.
one tip :D When taking over cities, make sure to destroy their church if it is of different religion and build one of your own.

I'm using the Imperial Splendour Mod, Blood Mod, and the Fifes n' Drums Mod.
Just finished chapter 1. And I love this game. How do i get and install the Drum and fifes mod and smoke mod?
Drop in /data/ Install LtChamber's mod manager. That's the easiest way.
Is this game worth buying? On amazon there's a million people saying about it being a buggy POS. I played it at a friends house when it came (one of the games he'd started) and it kept crashing at 1750. Have they fixed this kind of thing now? (I read that people are crashing randomly at different years and stuff).
No, it's not quite fixed, for a whole lot of people it seems to be an unplayable buggy mess. I rarely crash at all, but there's an overwhelming amount of people who do.
:( That sucks. I'm not paying £40 on steam for it at any rate. Amazon has it for £23 which is pretty cheap.
Look at it this way, if you buy it now, you're only waiting for patches and fixes to come out and can enjoy it in the mean time (if it performs decently on your system that is)
I started a new game as england, I destroyed the cherokee territories and denmark, as well as taking Berlin.

I'd rather wait till it's fixed so I get a fresh, bug free experience. If I just play it now, I'll get bored of it by the time the bugs are fixed which would have made the game good. Hope you got what I meant by all that.

Except for a couple of exceptions, one large (No naval invasions) and a couple of minor ones, I'm finding the game quite playable and enjoyable as it is. Even once it's patched, if you'd find it boring as it is, you'd find it boring even after patching. Playing on the harder difficulties will make it so you aren't bored.
Any ETA on the next patch? My damn game still crashes when I declare war on minor nations, I've been waiting since a week after release.

Things like really fucking annoying map bugs like a certain map that makes all units go 1MPH even when running. No naval invasions. And a lot of other stuff that hinder the true experience.

Everything they wanted to be in, is.
They didn't want there to be a multiplayer campaign? Good thing it's getting patched in anyway.
My only issue is that after playing for a little while the game slows to a fucking crawl on both the battle map and campaign. Anyone getting any memory leaks or the like while playing this game?
The game's fun and works well for a while, but occasionally I get some glitch where the game doesn't even start but instead shows a blank white screen. All I have to do is re-install it though.
