I'm playing it on Ultra 1680x1050 with a 8800gtx and a q6600 @ 3.4ghz & 2 gig of ram with no lagging. I guess I'm lucky. There's just some bugs in the game that shit me.

My computer can run MTW 2 at max, and I have to play this at low settings. And the fact that it crashes when I try to start the Independence campaign, random battle crashes, and etc..

I'm trying to unite Germany as England. Prussia was easily subdued, Denmark was as well. The only problems are those minor nations, they have full armies. Only 3 major nations stand in my way, Poland (practically destroyed, one region left), Austria (Too scared to war with them), and Russia(So far the war is evenly balanced).

I had this issue with my shadow settings on low, so I brought them up higher and it fixed it :/

They're still trying to fix the hundreds of bugs and bring about the new multiplayer grand campaign mode which will feature hundreds of more bugs. All in all, it's going to take about 2 months to get all of it working correctly.

you are correct (as Empire total war is so freakin buggy, it crashes, it sucks...) land battles beat naval battles (it is the AI and how unrealistically your ships behave when you tell them to attack compared to your enemies, but the land battle AI sucks too...).

we'll according to their blog (daily updates thread ) they got naval invasions working, they are rare though.

This game is awesome with the Imperial Splendour mod.

I made an alliance with the Maratha Confederacy as the Mughal Empire, and I'm conquesting across the Ottoman Empire on the hard difficulty setting. So far, it's been fairly easy to capture regions from the Ottomans, probably because the regiments I'm using in the attacking army all have high ranks. The Georgians are really the only major threat; I gave Georgia to Dagestan (one of my protectorates) after I captured it (there was about -11 happiness for the noble class and about -14 happiness for the lower class, so I knew a rebellion was no doubt going to occur), but even they couldn't put down the rebellion. It seems like no matter what I do Georgia keeps rising up after it's defeated.

What I really like about the Imperial Splendour mod is the AI is far more intelligent than it was previously. When enemies declare war on you, they don't sit around and wait for you to attack them, they use every tactic possible to defeat you, though they don't act stupid and leave regions undefended or waste all their money on troops; the same goes for when the AI opponents declare war on other opponents. Allies who decide to help you in wars actually help capture regions and defeat enemies; Persia helped me capture Kashmir from Marathan Rebels, and I helped the Maratha Confederacy kill a force of Mysorian rebels.

Also, anyone know a glitch with Russia? Every time you make a trade agreement with them, they almost always cancel it after 1 or 2 turns.
