I tried everything that it says you should try in the FAQ, none of it works.

The foot soldiers did have a parade uniforms though.
Maybe I'm thinking 18th century, but I'm pretty sure they had parade uniforms.
In the book The Ransom of Mercy Carter (Based on the raid of deerfield, in 1704 during the Queen Anne war) during the raid, after the indians take the town, the French march in with parade uniforms.
Usually, they would wear an extra gold trimmed coat, and wear a sword.

the new patch is good. loving the naval invasions and increased aggressiveness of the AI. the patch ruined the battle AI for me though.. it just runs in circles while i shoot them down now. Is this happening to anyone else ?
I wish there was an option to pick what kind of AI you're fighting against, defensive, offensive etc.

i can't play this game for more than 40 minutes it makes one of my gpus overheat ffs
