No way, Day Z makes it sell way too well. It might go to 40% at the most.
Yeah because MW3 didn't sell well, but still saw a 50% decrease, despite not even being a year old. Same could be said about Skyrim, BIS are just a bunch of retards and don't know how to game marketing.
[editline]16th July 2012[/editline]
Instead of being #4 they could be #1 and sell 3x as much
I'm thankful I'm not interested in today's deals. I don't want to spend any more damnit :v:
Got Metro 2033 for $5, sweet. Hoping for Sins of a Solar Empire 75% off (old one, not new one).
I want both of them 75% off. However that's never going to happen with the new one.
I don't really know where to post this, but I just want to rage.
Info: My download cap is 40GB, you get charged for an extra 40GB every 40GB after that.
So, I bought L.A Noire last night, and began downloading it. It was a big game and I was hesitant to buy it since I have limited downloads and this would almost certainly go over that, meaning I have to pay more. But I decided I would get it anyway. I download this 14GB game (1/3 of my monthly download limit). It finishes in about 6/7 hours. I play it, and nobody says anything and cut scenes aren't working. I validate files, and steam decides that it dun fucked up and has to get 4GB of the fucking game again. So now this game has cost me 18GB of bandwidth. Nearly half my monthly cap. This is pretty annoying.
Today, my friend convinced me to buy Saints Row 3, (9GB). Since I figured I was already over the cap and would be charged for another 40GB, I download it. It finishes, and just to be sure, I validate files. Steam decides that somehow it managed to fuck up 2/3 of the entire fucking game, and needs to re download 6GB of the game. Now it probably wont push me into another extra charge, but its more the time that is annoying. I left it downloading for 4 hours or so, waiting to play it later. Then it decides it needs to download most the game again.
What the fuck. How the fuck does it manage to break 2/3 of the files?
God fucking dammit steam.
Voted Beyond good and evil, also wow now I know why Civilisation is the famous allnighter game, played my first match coop with my friend till 3am and didn't even notice the time until someone messaged me on Steam :v:
I actually got Civ 5 in a publisher pack, I keep hearing good things about it but I don't know if I would enjoy it.
I'll have to give it a try to see, I have no idea what to expect.
edit
Tom if I were you I would just buy games that come on CDs :v:
I used to get 100gb, that sounds like a lot but you REALLY have to limit yourself, downloading 1 or 2 steam games per month and cutting back on downloads.
just a day of nothing and watching videos on Youtube adds up to nearly 3GB a day.
Seeing if 200gb is suitable this month
God I hate this countries internet.
I would buy the F.E.A.R. collection for $10 if i didn't already own it.
I want both of them 75% off. However that's never going to happen with the new one.
Yeah, the new one came out in mid June, didn't it? It isn't even on sale at all right now.
Just contacted Steam Support because I wanted to see if it was possible to upgrade to the deluxe version of a game if you already own the standard, they're now telling me to buy the deluxe edition (at the current sale price), they'll then remove the standard edition of the game from my account so I can redeem the deluxe.
So basically they want me to buy the entire game again even though I already own it, what a joke. It's only like a £3/£4 difference aswell I would've been more than happy to pay that.
I want Dear Esther, but I know I really shouldn't. Otherwise it looks like my wallet is safe for the day.
Dear esther isn't really worth it.
0 replay value and pretty short.
Is the $10 FEAR collection worth it? Also, what about Red Faction?

Are they reimbursing for the game they are taking away?

No, not at all.
Is the $10 FEAR collection worth it? Also, what about Red Faction?
Yes. IMO, F.E.A.R. 2 is worth $10 by itself. Everything after that is a bonus.

Honestly what is that special about the deluxe version? I don't know a lot I remember it had a character or something but I got it with a preorder so I never paid a lot of attention to that stuff, but I know Ubishit did the same thing with Driver: SF, I can't upgarde that.

The game in question is actually Driver: SF.

Well consider that you likely bought it at standard price NOT in a sale, they refund you that, you get a profit when you buy the sale price deluxe?
The game in question is actually Driver: SF.
Oh, yeah. I think it's some bullshit too, but honestly it's more of a problem with Ubisoft than Valve.

There is no refund involved, just a removal here.

Exactly, I'm just saying why they're not going to refund it.
I hope Mirror's Edge wins.
Exactly, I'm just saying why they're not going to refund it.
Remember all I want to be able to do is pay the difference and upgrade my standard to deluxe, I'm not looking for a refund or to buy the game twice.
Remember all I want to be able to do is pay the difference and upgrade my standard to deluxe, I'm not looking for a refund or to buy the game twice.
How exactly are you going to be able to pay the difference through the official system without an upgrade option though?
How exactly are you going to be able to pay the difference through the official system without an upgrade option though?
This is why I've contacted Steam Support, to see if there's any other method aside from buying the game twice.
[editline]16th July 2012[/editline]
Thrown a question to Ubisoft support aswell, if neither of them can do anything I'll be so disappointed.
Would anyone fancy swapping Hitman for Nuclear Dawn?
Beyond good & evil is impossible to get working properly with anything passed XP. They need to release the HD version they have on live/psn on steam.
Bought Assassin's Creed 2 and now I'm crying because I pretty much wasted money - it has that dirty DRM plus I am not really interested in the game.
Do you guys know if it's possible to place a amount of money on your steam account to buy games with it later, and how does that work?

It's an amazing game with amazing soundtracks and magnificent scenary.

Yeah, you can add to your steam wallet.
Click on where it says "(your name's) account" then click on where it says "add funds".
Do you guys know if it's possible to place a amount of money on your steam account to buy games with it later, and how does that work?
There are two ways to do that,
Add funds directly:
http://store.steampowered.com/steamaccount/addfunds/
Buy a card at Gamestop, redeem here:
https://store.steampowered.com/account/redeemwalletcode
Once it's in your steam wallet, any transactions will take money out of it before using other payment options. You can even combine wallet and credit card funds in a single purchase.
