No Sales.
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK. :suicide:
Or maybe because it's 11 days long and it ends at the same time the Killing Floor thing ends, maybe it starts on the 12th.
Time to boost squad moral
The 2010 sale started on June 24. The 2011 sale started on June 30. The difference between 30 and 24 is 6. 30 + 6 = 36 - June 36. June 36 = July 6. The 2012 sale will start on July 6 - today. In 2022, the summer sale won't be summer sale. If my forecast is incorrect, the sale will start no later than July 22, because there are eleven July days of the sale.
The next new release on Steam is on the 24th, the sale will not be happening while new games are being released. That gives us a window from now till then. The Indie bundles indicate that there are 11 days in the sale which means that the very latest the sale could start is the 13th. There is currently a weekend sale going till Monday, they're not going to cut that sale short. The Cubeman developer said the sale would start on the 12th. When you combine all this evidence it's pretty clear that the sale is starting on the 12th. tl;dr: Sale starts the 12th
Today's Deal is oddly bugged there. [editline] arsemaster[/editline] Not anymore.
What are you guys talking about it'll start tomorrow, it's obvious. It will start tomorrow. It will always start tomorrow.
Of course there are no sales, they wouldn't just cut off a weekend sale before it's even the weekend, that wouldn't be fair to the game to have it have a whole weekend sale and then just bury it beneath the summer sales, so it won't start at least until the weekend deal is over.
Valve are dicks.
Valve are dicks.
God forbid they make a massive sale with the chance of free games and stuff being 75% off, that you have to WAIT FOR! Fucking greedy cunts Im moving to Origin I hear they get all the sales.
i have $600 saved for a new laptop for college i am supposed to go laptop shopping on the 13th i'm praying that the steam sale doesn't start before then, because if it does, i will have no money for a new laptop by the 13th
Valve are dicks.
lazy yes dicks no
I'm loosing hope fast.. We cant take this much longer!! RUN AWAY!!
The evidence of the date of the sale being July 12: - a dev online explicitly said the sale would run from July 12th to the 23rd. - There was a short-lived entry in the 'specials' section of Steam - 25% off on Codemasters titles - that had an expiration date of July 12th. Popular opinion suggests that someone entered that date as the end date of that sale instead of the beginning as intended, then quickly pulled the sale upon realizing their error. - An series of recent entries in the Steam subscription registry include 11 packs - 'days' of indie bundles, one of which includes the game Killing Floor, which is having an event that ends on the 23rd. Killing Floor tends to have events that coincide with sales. - The Meet the Pyro event in TF2 ends on July 11th. - July 12th is a Thursday and sales tend to start on Thursdays. I think that's it.
lazy yes dicks no
Lazy? You think Valve puts these things off because they're lazy? I'm sure there's a better reason than "eh, I'll do it later".
Reckon it's taking a while because they're messing with coupons again, looking forward to it!
I really hope it's not coupons again, I'd much prefer the DLC prize thing from last year.
Hoping Arma II: Combined Ops goes on sale so I can start playing DayZ
Wasn't it already said that there wont be a steam sale for ArmA II?
;36663911']Wasn't it already said that there wont be a steam sale for ArmA II?
Sorry, but where was this confirmed?
Nothing is ever confirmed when it comes to the Steam Summer Sales.
Ever thought the Summer Sale has been delayed so Valve can strike a deal with Bohemia in order to tempt them into putting Arma 2 on the sale? Valve can see it's been up there as a great top seller. Maybe that is why the sale is later than usual. I'm saying this as all i've seen associated with this Summer Sale is "Will Arma 2 be on sale?", "OMG I WANT ARMA 2", "Arma 2 will be the first thing I will buy". Everyone seems to be going ape to buy this on sale, i'm almost certain that the Summer Sale was unintentionally delayed due to Valve/Steam trying to tempt Bohemia into giving in to the sale. That's my two cents. It isn't fact, just purely opinionated. Feel free to debate.
