/v/ told me the witcher was shit looks like I'm not buying that one.
Thank god /v/ is here to drive me away from shitty games, they helped me avoid Skyrim, New Vegas, Deus Ex HR, and more!
Fuuuuuck, I just bought the $5 copy. Oh well.
Try contacting Steam Support to get a refund if you haven't installed it.
If you can't, and you still want all the DLC, it's still cheaper for you to get the Ultimate edition (Ultimate Edition is $9.99, all the DLC is $11.44)
A great mod list for anybody that bought Fallout: New Vegas.
Mods I use:
Project Nevada
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/40040
This mod REQUIRES NVSE: http://nvse.silverlock.org/ This is also used for other mods so you might as well install it.
A BIG mod that encompasses many gameplay changes, equipment additions (including new guns, armour and BACKPACKS) and cyber implants)
(I don't use the rebalance but the other 3 parts to the mod are excellent (Cyberware, equipment and core))
(Patches for DLC/Other mods (Such as WMX and EVE): http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/42363)
Nevada Skies
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35998
This will add new weather effects and darken your nights (but can be adjusted).
Weapon Mods Expanded (WMX)
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/39651
This will add a TON of new mods for weapons, each modification shown as a change to the gun with full stat changes.
This is fully compataible with all the DLCs and the texture improvement, weapon texture improvement and effect improvement mods I will mention below, be sure to get the compatability patches though!
Remember to get the WMX pacth for Project Nevada on their patch page.
A Perk Every Level
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34707
Need I explain?
MTUI
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34902
Just a larger talk/trade interface.
ElectroCity
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/37908
Lights up towns + major roads, best with Nevada Skies or a similar mod that darkens nights (It also comes with it's own optional file for darkening nights).
Weapon Retexture Project
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/38285
Better textures for weapons. Will need a compatability patch with WMX, the patch is available in the WMX downloads page (Called arenavlis's texture pack, but it's for this one)
Gun Runner's Arsenal patch: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/46800
NMC's Texture Pack
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/43135
A must-have, even on the smallest version of the pack it's a huge difference.
EVE
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/42666
An improvement pack for ALL effects, be sure to use the GRA compatability patch if you are using Gun Runner's arsenal.
Remember to also use the Project nevada Patch for EVE available of the Project Nevada Patch Page, and another patch on WMX's downloads page.
Conelrad Civil Defence Radio
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35061
Just another radio.
Better Normals
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/38196
Just makes the game look a bit better, the screenshots may seem ugly but try it out in-game first.
More Perks
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35979
This adds a ton new perks, companion perks and new traits, it has addons for each story DLC.
Centered Third Person Camera
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34744
Just a better camera over all. You get an option of either Crosshair over the top of the play, or the player is centered instead, I use the crosshair over the top as you can see what you are looking at much better.
Enhanced Blood Textures
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34917
Just a better blood texture but it does include extras such as more gore and different types of wounds.
Stutter and Cell Purger
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34832 and http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/36805/
This is two mods but they are great together, they don't add anything contenet wise, just performance enhancements.
Unlimited Companions (Updated)
http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=44924
You are now no longer limited by size of your party!
Wasteland Flora Overhall
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/39856
Greenifys the wasteland.
Weapon Mod Menu
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/44515
You MUST install this mod for this to work: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/42507 (it will overwrite stuff from project Nevada, dont' worry, let it)
This adds a better mod menu, and the ability to remove mods from weapons. This works great with WMX.
Populated Casinos
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35369
No more barren casinos.
Companion Sandbox Mode
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/44803
Companions won't just wait around like statues anymore.
Mission Mojave - ALL DLCS REQUIRED Except for the pro-order bonus one.
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/45104
This just fixes a hellovalot of stuff, there are many compatability patches on the download page.
There is a version that doesn't require all the DLCs, it can be found near the bottom of the download folder called Mission Mojave x93, this fixes considerably less though.
Improved Sound FX
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35293
This just improves many sounds, weapon sounds particurly. There are the seperate DLC compatability pacthes included in the download or a All-In-One patch if you have all the DLC.
rePOPULATED Wasteland
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/40176/
Loads more people in towns/cities/villages/other.
Active Wasteland
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/37804/
Stuff actually does something. Lights that actually work, ovens that cook and more.
Depth of Field Mod
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35589/
Adds depth of field.
Custom Lighting Overlay
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/36030
Makes stuff less yellow, apparently.
Improved LOD noise Texture
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/46451/
The ground looks better at a distance.
Light Step ED-E
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35526/
Your faithful floating companion won't set off mines no more.
Tag Skills Improved.
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35164/
Your tag skills get a bigger buff at the start (Tag skills are the skills you pick at the start to specialise in).
Mods I don't use but apparently awesome:
New Vegas Bounties I and II:
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/37310 and http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/41184
Adds a huge new quest line, fully voiced and everything.
A World of pain
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/38719
Adds many more loactions with awesome loot.
Fellout
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34888
Removed the orange, darker night and different lighting.
FOOK
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34684
A huge fallout overhaul, adds a ton of things.
The only reason i dont' use this is because it probably does nto work well witha few of my current mods, and is best played with a new save, which I refuse to.
Monster Mod
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/41361
Adds a ton more monsters (over 100!)
Weapon Mod Expansion (WME)
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/37576
Does the same thing as WMX, and it is really either this or WMX.
Don't be confused by the very similar names.
FNV Enhanced Shaders
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34868
Adds shaders for DOF, bloom, SSAO and More! There is a lite version which doesn't affect performance.
Not sure why I don't use this, but it does make the steam overlay not work. (Will be completly white)
CaliberX
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/39981
Adds new ammo, better ammo textures and stuff.
I mostly don't use this as I have too much ammo already.
4GB Fallout new vegas
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35262
More Memory for FNV!
I only don't use this because I want to alucnh striaght from steam.
Tools:
Nexus Mod Manager
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/modmanager
Can be used to download directly off the Nexus, and install/uninstall the mods. Beware, some of the mods aren't standardly layed out and thus will seem to be installed fine, but are not activated.]
This tool can also be used to change the load orders of the mods, which in many cases is extremley essential. Remember that fallout.esm and all the DLC mod files should be BEFORE any other mod.
FNVEdit
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/34703
This tool can be used for many things, but I just use it to see if any of the current mods are either conflicting or looking for a file that doesn't exist. You can see on the log on the side what the last mod file it attempted to load was and what the error was.
Obviously the tool can be used for much more than just simple error checking but this is what I use it for.
BOSS
http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35999
This tool can be used to automatically create a proper mod load order, to minimise conflicts hopefully.
Beware, this tool isn't infallible and may make mistakes in the load order, so don't depend on it entirely. There are also some mods known to not work with BOSS so you are on your own with them.
Probably late but if you guys missed Saint's Row: The Third amazon has it for $10 and it activates on Steam.

Is Sniper Elite (the original one) good? My POS computer can't play V2.
Also, I really hope the Doom series goes on sale because I want them all.
Tribes: Ascend starter pack on Flash Sales, why.
I'm glad it's a flash sale, I regret not buying it when it was a daily deal.
If they're going to do stuff like this why not expand the Flash Sales slots or Daily Deals?
Also, I really hope the Doom series goes on sale because I want them all.
Get it! I bought the pack last year and had a blast with all the classic Doom games. Never really played Doom 3. I'm waiting for the Wolf Pack to go on sale.

I've always thought that she looked like a shadow version of Buttercup from the PowerPuff Girls.
Anyway, if people are wondering what franchises they should spend their money on, I can't recommend these highly enough:
Deus Ex collection
Thief collection
The Longer Journey + Dreamfall
I need to stop buying so many games.
Just bought NV Ultimate, and but Shogun 2 might be 75% off from flash sale... Dammit.
Raffle closed and I've PM'd the winner.

She?
I'm still on my first play through of Deus Ex and it's really lived up to the hype! I hope the rest are enjoyable. Well, HR that is. I've heard quite poor things about IW. In all likelihood I'll buy Thief collection before the sale ends.
The trading thread isn't very active so I'll post this again here (sorry). Trading 8 keys/Dead Island for Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition. Thanks.
Send me a PM if anyone want The Binding of Isaac Collection
Well looks like Dead Island won this vote. Little bit surprised it was by so much
I sort of saw Dead Island winning. I didn't think there would be as many people interested in Spacemarine or Shogun as there was for Dead Island. Bring on the Sam and Max.
I wanted Spacemarine to win. Fuck.
Dead Island is mediocre and you should feel mediocre if you voted on that game.
Now I feel mediocre.
But seriously, why would you vote for Dead Island when there were two much better options?
I guess it was once again people just being ignorant.
Have the Gothic games gone under 50% off already?
I'm looking to play some old RPG's, and I figured I might as well just buy a pack with all the Gothic games in it. It's 25 euros atm for me though.
there can't be that many people
and the votes cant be
WHY WOULD YOU EVEN VOTE FOR SPACE MARINES
god DAMNIT

Gothic 1 you can't get seperately, but they do have a Gothic 'Universe Edition' which can get you all 3 games for 10$.
But seriously, why would you vote for Dead Island when there were two much better options?

Honestly, they've all been on sale a million times anyways, I didn't care which I voted for.
