I'm gonna laugh if its not the 12th.
Why the 12th?
A multitude of reasons. For starters: 1. Multiple developers have posted the 12th as the date, including forum posts and tweets. 2. The 12th is a Thursday. They always start on Thursdays. 3. The current Dungeon Defenders "Midweek Madness" ends at 10AM PDT tomorrow, as opposed to the usual 4PM slot. 4. A list of "Indie Bundles", days 1-11 has been leaked. Tomorrow being the 12th, and day 1, means day 11 will be the 22nd. This then leaves the 23rd as the typical "second chance" day to pick up something you may have missed the first time it was a daily deal. 5. There are no games scheduled to be released between now and July 24th. It would be rotten for a dev's game to be released and subsequently lost in the hysteria of the annual Steam Summer sale. This works well with list item 4 above. 6. There is an event going in TF2 that ends at 10AM PDT tomorrow. TF2 events commonly lead into Steam supersales. I'm sure there are plenty of things that I have missed here, so I'll leave it up to others to fill in the blanks.
That feel when I have two thousand dollars and nothing to spend it on.
Why the 12th?
Cause Friday the 13th is bad luck.
That feel when I have two thousand dollars and nothing to spend it on.
When the Steam sales start you can buy games for everyone :v:
Just made $150 today (wasnt supposed to get paid for 2 more weeks, but I did some work on the side for the occasion), Call me ready.
That feel when I have two thousand dollars and nothing to spend it on.
Yeah? Well... I have seventeen gazillion dollars and a world of stuff to spend it on, yet here I am impatiently waiting for Valve to get their act together and start this Steam sale already...

Have any Summer Sale achievements leaked out yet?
And just like the wintersale and last summersale I can't access Steam and buy anything because something happens to me that prevents me from doing it
17 hours remain.
Ohh, thanks.Great second post by the way, keep up the good posts :v:
Thanks! It was actually my first, but don't tell anyone ;) Something about giving your boss your 2 weeks notice leads to a dramatically lighter workload, leading to more time to devote to the important things, such as why Valve hasn't started their annual Steam summer sale, so I figured I should provide a summary of everything I've found in one place. Glad to see at least one person has found it useful :)
I found it useful as well. Everyone else just said "BECAUSE IT WILL BE" you provided actual, sound reasoning. Thank you!
My credit card is ready for this sale.
Does anyone think they will have the "win everything on steam" contest again?
My credit card is ready. So many things may be claimed this summer, when the stuff on sale is to my interest.
My wallet will only be ready tomorrow. If the sale really starts on the 12th, I'm right on time :v:.

15 hours remain. AAAAAGGG I CANT WAIT ANYMORE.
The Steam sale events are much easier to wait for when you're poor, like me. Less so when it actually hits and the potential to win free games every day pops up. Then the impatience for the next day starts.
The Steam sale events are much easier to wait for when you're poor, like me. Less so when it actually hits and the potential to win free games every day pops up. Then the impatience for the next day starts.
BUT IM POOR AND I AM BROKE. Sorry.
I prepared for the sales in the last days of June. Now all I have is $1.
I prepared for the sales in the last days of June. Now all I have is $1.
that'll still probably buy you a game [editline]11th July 2012[/editline] i hope they put the classic valve games on sale for really cheap i really want to pick up half-life
Where is the proof that this will be tomorrow again, anyway?
